Poorly led, previously had a fantastic reputation under the past head, grades have now dropped, with a lack of knowledge and expertise around additional support needs or a willingness to follow an agreed child plan . Complaints of bullying amongst both pupils and staff team, with the head teacher refusing to acknowledge bullying or discrimination exists. Disappointing.
uniform policy: knee length skirts, shirt buttoned up all the way, no jackets indoors, either wear blazer or school jumper, no hoodies or sweatshirts, if you are not following uniform policy you get a D merit
no phones allowed even if out of class
no going to the bathroom in class
some good teachers
school food is good
staff and head fails to do anything about racism sexism or homophobia
Honestly, it didn’t really feel like they cared for me (and my friends) as student. We complained relentlessly about the constant bullying we were experiencing and absolutely NOTHING was done about it.
Only a short list of the teachers are actually somewhat caring towards the students.
The teachers were extremely strict about grading and it seemed as if that was all they cared about, that and the impression of the school to the public.
