Terrible
This school is terrible for many reasons but I say 1 today as there is lots I could put. When I was on bromcom checking my behaviour points I got a negative point and said disrespect SLT (missed detention) I didn't even get told I had a detention or done anything to get one. I done all my homework and haven't been bad or anything. But I do have a feeling it is because I didn't my summer homework yet I got told by my head of year I didn't have to do it and she send emails out so this also proves teachers don't look or read anything properly about students. Also in the past I been told I got detentions when I didn't even know I had one and they would tell me on the day I had it - once a teacher gave me a detention about my nose ring but I already made a deal with my head of year about it and I end up having to waste 15 mins of my day after school for the teachers to sort out the issue. I don't know if it's just me or other students but this school needs to sort itself out and don't tell us we have detentions we didn't know about on the same day and instead tell us a couple days before. They also need to follow up with emails about us / our profiles and know why we didn't do the homework or something else.

Terrible school. They do nothing about bullying, even when it gets physical. The sale of drugs is a constant problem in this school, yes, even though they claim to have 'eliminated' the problem. They actively praise and encourage the unruly kids, yet the quiet, calm and focused ones get penalised. Do not send your children here, have mercy on them, protect their mental and physical health.

There's loads of bullying that the teachers don't deal with properly let alone fat shaming.

Horrible school
Kingsdown is a horrible school, I am a previous student and had to leave cause how bad it was to my mental health. But I know it sounds like I’m just trying to give bad reviews so I’m going to get Into it. 2 months after starting I got tackled to the floor for no reason and I got punished for it. Then I would have teachers scream in my face. I would have teachers grabbing me and pushing me. I then started school after Christmas year 8. And at this point they wanted me gone. I was getting suspended for silly things. Put in isolation a full day (8:30-4:15) im not sure if that’s still the times. At the time I was getting checked for autism adhd. As soon as this got mentioned teachers started getting strickter upon me. Was always kicking me out of lesson. So now I’m in year 9 and haven’t leant since primary. This school is honestly horrible I am now in an autism, adhd and attendance school and leant a lot more than I have in the 2 years I was in kingsdown

I’m a student at this school and it makes me so miserable teachers are overly strict and are restricting everything about us from jewellery down to whether someone can have a beard or not teachers favour other student and the discipline structure is terrible and a student in year nine touches the girls sexually and he gets away with it because all of the teachers favour him

My son got a cold
I am a mother and my son has a cold and now is poorly because the teachers won’t let students were coats in class! He has also said they open most the windows and say it’s hot in here.
terrifying experience
i got bullied by a blind kid who threatened to sleep with my mother then proceeded to try and hit me with their cane but I'm like a whippet and dodged the attacks and i countered with a punch in the nose, then the head teacher descended from the building on a rope and fly kicked me! The entire school proceeded to come out of the block clapping as i was taken away to Alcatraz

They are going to give us 10 minutes lunch detention being 1 minute late and if we are late 3 times late a day we get 25 minutes lunch time detention and a 2 hour detention after school.
They lock the bathrooms and only leave one open.
They don’t fill up the soap dispensers in the bathroom so we don’t have any soap in the bathroom sometimes and it smells of poo in the bathrooms.
They are very strict as well.

Terrible school.
This school is terrible with bullying, mental health and much more. People with bad mental health struggle to do stuff like homework etc because they just can’t get the motivation to do it. Not only does this school punish you for this but it will not give you more time or help you through it at all. I went to this school with anxiety and depression and I was not given a time out card like I was promised. My progress leader picked favourites and would only properly help them. They care more about the reputation more than the students. Do not send your child to this school. They don’t sort out bullying they make it worse and mental health just gets brushed away they do NOT help.

They cannot control kids and people are frequently being bullied and they are not doing anything to help, there where 14 fights in 2 weeks in one year group, the teacher teach us nothing
Shocking school
The teachers treat the student like rubbish and the student are learning nothing, the homework the students come back home with is shocking, it’s like they have no time for family or a social life. They need to understand some students have a lot going on at home and it may effect the children at school so there is no need to punish them for silly reasons. The school doesn’t do anything about bullying, racism, homophobia, or anything serious, all they care about is there reputation and that students only have 1 ear piercing and no ankles showing.

Rubbish teachers, can’t help other children when they need help with bullying, always listens to one side of a story instead of the other side. Doesn’t inform parents what has happened at the school. Teachers can’t b we bothered with teaching children right. All around dirty and no care for students.
Terrible school yet rated good by ofsted
Terrible for people who are getting diagnosed, sent nothing over to my college, I am dyslexic and they didn’t help me or send it over ,had a terrible nurse but apparently they have nice one too now so everyone asks for her. Had a few nice teachers tho.

I was able to work well in the school but any bullying or children facing problems wouldn’t receive help or would be referred to dead end routes.
