A Toxic, Uncaring School

If I could give this school 0 star, I would! The teachers here do not care about your mental health-at all. If you're struggling, even if you're suicidal, they completely ignore your needs. They preach about "support," but when it actually matters, you're on your own.
It's like they couldn't care less about your well-being.

This school cares more about enforcing their so-called "ASPIRE" values than they do about the actual students. They even forced us to wear long sleeves during a heatwave, completely disregarding how uncomfortable and unsafe it was for us. They don't even let students go to the toilet during lessons, and some have urinated on themselves because of this strict policy.

The detentions are completely ridiculous too. You can get one for something as minor as wearing makeup. Sometimes you just want to cover up a few blemishes to feel better about yourself, but they act like it's some major offense. And if you forget a single pen? They make you write a whole essay. Seriously, who punishes students like that over a pen?

Lunchtime isn't even a break. We were forced to practice silent reading during lunch-our only real time to relax. They'd also stop us from getting our lunch just to make us practice standing in line like robots. If a few students talked or didn't stand straight, they'd keep the whole year group behind, punishing everyone for a few people's actions. It's so unfair and frustrating.

To top it all off, detentions are extreme. You could get a Saturday detention just for having chewing gum on you, even if you weren't chewing it! And if you get a regular detention, they make you stay for half an hour after school, even if it's for something petty. It's all about control and power here, not about helping students grow.

If there’s ever an issue, they automatically assume you’re guilty without any proper investigation. They shout at innocent students and even resort to telling a string of lies to force them into admitting things they haven’t done. In the end, when they realize
they made a mistake, they refuse to apologize and shamelessly punish you with detention—just to save face!

If you care about your mental health or want a school that actually supports you, stay far away from this place. It’s toxic, and all they care about is punishing students rather than understanding them.

This school is a hell hole

This school is really unfair i got bullied for a long time in here and I spoke to teachers and all they did was give them a correction and it still was happening.
The toilets are a bad thing as well because there is a camera (apparently zoomed into the toilet door) the teachers use the excuse of saying it is for safeguarding reasons, my friends say they feel insecure in the toilets telling me it feels like you have no privacy and the teachers will just open the door and shout us to hurry up and it is female or male they still do it. Thanks for reading I hope this goes well to you and I hope you understand.

Anxiety and trauma

I’m currently in year 8 at this school and I’m wanting to move. Fair enough it does have good educational effects but the teachers are just not meant for our school. It’s draining, physically and mentally draining I literally get home and cry about how bad it was and the amount of anxiety and I cry dreading to go in the next day. This should be how I feel or anyone should feel we should feel safe and happy to go in everyday without getting corrections for talking in the corridors or at lineup and I shouldn’t be dreading to go into cover lessons cause I’m afraid of getting an ATL3 for not understanding the work? Also this school gives so many people trauma and anxiety it’s awful. And to treat us at the age of 11 like an adult is FUCKING STUPID.

This school is horrendous they need to change some of their rules!, and their detention thing cause it’s out of hand, no talking in corridor, detention!, can’t have your hair down or your hair can’t be below a 3, I don’t recommend going to that school. My child got bullied last month and they didn’t do anything about it. And she got bullied at the start of year 7 and now she’s in year 8 and she still gets bullied and the attendance thing is ridiculous don’t have enough attendance it’s summer school. This school needs to sort themselves out and change because it’s ridiculous they don’t sort bullying out all they do is put them in isolation which isn’t going to change them. If you have to much makeup on they give you a makeup wipe to wipe it of, they need to physically and mentally change!

The horrible truth

This school is appalling PLEASE do not send your child here especially if they are mentally disabled.

They do not see mental disabilities (eg autism, adhd) as real things and struggles. I am autistic, I have been bullied at this school even though the school states that bullying doesn’t happen, they said they would do something but have clearly not. I was also supposed to get a toilet pass (for if I get overwhelmed) they said “yeah of course we can give her it!” 4 months later and yet no toilet pass. What’s even worse is that I was also supposed to get a pass to leave early to avoid overcrowding as it is hectic and it causes me stress, 3 months later im still being crushed in the hallway because the school are LAZY and couldn’t give me special permission to leave just 5 MINUTES early.

They make you work until 4pm and give you hours worth of homework to do after. I know it sounds like any other school but it’s not if you’re working 7 hours on top of 3 hours worth of homework. It turns you into robots with no creativity. It’s prison. I’ve also learnt nothing because certain idiots in my class disrupt the lesson and the school try to do something about it by screaming at them but they should know that the kids are just looking for a reaction, so they carry on and on.

I appreciate how the school can lie so much it’s actually impressive!

Please send your child here if you want their lives to be full with nothing and depressing. This school warps students minds, making them not want to go to college and university because they only think of this prison of a school as education as a whole.

Message to the school: Do better.

The parts they don’t let you see .

I’m in year 11 at this school and i beg anyone who is in year 6 or looking to send there child here to read this review , this is complete honesty

Ever since i joined in year 7 I new that this school was my worst decision .
The statistics for our GCSE’S are a front to appeal students to join this school but it’s all lie .
For starters , in year 7 we get made to sign a contract that basically strips you of your rights and decisions - it sounds like i’m exaggerating but every aspect of your school life gets brought back to this contract . In year 9 i was kept behind school for laughing in class and the teacher refused to let me tell my parents that i wasn’t coming home at 4oclock - my mum was waiting outside the school for me worrying as to where i was but i was not allowed to contact her at all , as a year 9 i was scared to go against the teachers words . The excuse for this was that i signed a contract when i was 10 years old when i was unaware of what it would lead to .
In year 10 our changing room doors were strapped together by bungee cords so that we could not physically shut them . Additionally , the boys changing rooms had a camera installed into them leaving many students to refuse to participate in the PE lesson as no one felt comfortable getting changed infront of an open door . When this was brought up to teachers they simply said it was a safeguarding matter which appears to be their excuse for every situation .
Throughout all years the teachers have been rude and condescending, furthermore all the staff are young which may appear appealing to students as they feel they might relate to them more , however the way they speak to the students at times can be horrible . They snap in children’s faces , accuse the students of causing them mental health issues and shout at students for going the toilet - which leads to my next point .
The toilets are off limits - they are locked .
Every toilet accessible has been shut , locked and forbidden from students to use . A personal experience i received was at the start of year 11 when i needed to use the toilet ( because i’m a 16 year old girl ) and was told by a female member of staff that i needed to leave immediately and was given an after school detention . The only way you can possible use the toilets is to go to a gp and recieve a toilet pass with medical reason as to why you need to go the toilet throughout the school day . However , the toilets are opened at lunch . This does not make it an easier feat to use though as they are monitored with you only being allowed to have maximum three minutes in there . There was never a queue for the toilets until the staff decided to make one . Letting students freely into the toilets makes it easier and more time efficient to use . Again the reason why toilets can’t be used is “safeguarding” , because people apparently graffiti on the walls which i have never witnessed in my 5 years here .
Every single member of this school is worked to the point where school is seen as a chore and from the age of 11 i’ve been morphed into a robot that is told grades are everything , i’ve been told that silence is perfection and expressing yourself is a shameful act .
Finally , the level of food at this school is appalling . It’s a race every single day to get food as they don’t make enough to feed the whole school . At break we are made toast that only satisfies half the student body . At lunch we are only allowed to purchase the full meals - we cannot just ask for a side despite how hungry we may be .
Don’t send your children here , the only character building that will be seen within them is turning a happy 11 year old excited to face high school into a burnt out 16 year old that is even doubting going to college and experiencing further education because that image has been ruined by the public school that tries desperately to appear as a private institution .
They are creating robots ,
They are taking away our creativity ,
Save yourself .

In reality.

I am in year 11 at kings Warrington and I could not be happier to know that I only have 2 weeks left at this school.
The doors for the changing room are held open whilst the students are getting changed this has been brought up numerous times but is justified as teachers need to “keep an eye on students”.

The school have actively overworked every student they possibly can. The grades may seem great however the 9 hour school day (8am-5pm) year 11s are forced to conform to is not mentioned when signing ‘the contract’.

The contract is signed by naive students and their parents who are blinded by the performance given by the school. This contract supposedly justifies every decision made by the school. You lose authority over your child due to this contract, you thought signing their birth certificate held any significance? Incorrect. Myself, my friends, my parents, my siblings have all been messed about due to this contract. Students are not allowed to inform their parents when they have a detention due to this contract and you will be left worried oblivious, concerned about your child’s whereabouts. You complain? You will be met with the reminder of the contract you and your child signed. It may not seem safe not knowing where your child is (it isn’t) you assume they are at school when in reality, they could be anywhere.

Students are left drained and overworked, burnt out and unprepared for college. I am fully aware from previous students who used to attend this school that I will receive an unimaginable culture shock when leaving because although the school claims to ‘prepare students for the workplace’ in reality, any institution would be immediately shut down if it treated workers half as bad as students at Kings Warrington were treated.

The blatant disrespect and hypocrisy is absolutely sickening, the controlling, military nature of the school is worsening and it is not reasonable or normal to expect an 11 year old to act this way. I have been told I was an adult since I was 11, my first day of high school, high school is the final moments of an individuals childhood and unfortunately for the victims at Kings Warrington, we were abruptly thrown into adulthood and punished for acting our age.

I was bullied in my first months here and there is a decent of bullying i'm just in may as i'm writing this about to finish year 7 but I would no recomend coming here as you have to like swear aligence to there rules baisicly and shout ASPIRE which is there main focus and yeah it does come with pros but this school you will get laughed at by other schools if you come here and its way to strict, i'm getting alot of anger because of this school and there rules. (sorry if theres alot of spelling mistakes) also you cant play sports outside or do anything then just stand and talk because theres to many people, 100s go but the school is to small to handle them there sports hall is the eating place, the assembly room, teacher training and sports

Shitty school

Currently in year10 at this school. I get no support for my dyscalculia, the teachers have no coloured paper to tailor to others needs, the teachers yell at you just for whispering in the hallways, no long untied hair, no hair too short for boys, skirts to knees. I hate it here, and regret ever coming here. If you are a year6 or a parent considering sending your child here, DON'T RUIN YOUR LIFE!!! They dont care if you get bullied or anything, yet they say they have an anti-bullying policy. The school gives nothing in form of funds when we pay hundreds for trips and uniform. You will hate it, trust me. They literally put me down for mental illness when I cried in front of a school nurse who comes in every Thursday for an hour. It's so ridiculous.

Rules

Good teaching but ridiculous rules, no talking in corridors or detention? No sitting with your friends at dinner? No hair below 3 or long hair untied? The school is good but the rules make it an unbearable place to go. They preach self identity and being your own person but wont let you have your hair how you want it?
