I have been attending this school for three years now and personally think that this school is one of the worst schools in Wales. Half the teachers are nice and the other half don't care or put in any effort. There is a horrendous behavioural problem at this school, I'd say that about 20% of the people at this school are downright nasty and 50% aren't bothered with school and get in trouble at least every fortnight. There is also a dreadful bullying problem in this school. As soon as someone new enters the school, or just any child graduating from primary school enters, they will be bullied to no end about the most miniscule things and I think they should at least make a policy about it. I am outraged on the amount of stuff that they don't act on, in my entire awful experience here, although many people have done henus things, only one person has ever been expelled from this school.
It's one redeeming quality is the food which is nothing to write home about but is decent enough that it can be called alright.
I personally don't even think this school deserves any stars! The teachers were absolutely disgraceful when it came to bullying and abuse! A very lazy school that doesn't help students when they are bullied, they would rather ignore than deal with the issues making their time at the school easier. Whilst students continue to suffer bullying. If parent's wish for there child to have a happy time whilst gaining an education definitely DON'T send your child to this pathetic excuse of a school!!!
Teachers are useless every website is blocked if you’re a student that isn’t very good the teachers blame them for everything even when they don’t do anything and they’re given in equal opportunity and the teachers talk badly about students to other staff members
my experience at the school has been horrific, genuinely awful.
the teachers have a hatred towards me for no reason other than the fact i’m transgender, because of this im wanting to drop out because of course, it’s discriminatory behaviour.
my mother is making me stay because of my education and is worried i’ll get bullied by students if i move schools.
i hate it in the school and i’d remove a good chunk of the teachers to make it a better place.
moving onto the environment.
god help us, it’s dusty, crowded and just an overall unpleasant place to be in.
i hope this gets sorted soon, otherwise i’m on my last straw.
absolutely horrid, i’m a current year 10 and none of the students opinions get listened to, including mine. i’ve been trying to swap subjects since i chose them as i enjoyed the subject in previous years but now i have a different teacher it’s putting unbelievable stress on me and i’m being refused a swap therefore making me think about dropping out because i cannot deal with that one teacher.
the actual school is grim too, corridors are tiny, food everywhere, rarely gets cleaned, the geography room floors are absolutely coated with dust and aggravates my allergies.
it needs to get sorted soon before i drop out/ find another school.
the headteacher won’t do much about it all as all she’s concerned about is the fact our shirts are tucked in and that we have our neatly ironed blazers on and so that we’re ready to learn.
absolutely horrendous school experience to be honest.
the receptionists also have appalling behaviour towards other cultures. me and my mother were waiting for me to get taken out of school for a hospital appointment and infront of us was a let’s say “foreign family” the mother of that family didn’t understand so the receptionist said to the daughter to explain it to her, so she did. then after she finished the receptionist went looked at her and said, i quote “oh.. i thought you were about to speak a different language” which i think is absolutely horrid behaviour but they all laughed it off, assuming they’re used to such attitude towards them.
KHS is a good Enough school, But there are a few down sides for The teachers Do help in many ways but In my case I have certain problems and teachers trying to do their way to help but maybe they can learn or teach kids other ways to do/Help them the work.
Its like every other British school, good and horrible teachers, innapropriate teacher behaviour that is never dealt with because the students aren't listended to and a primsry goal of attendance over student saftey regarding covid. Sending a positive student's classes home but not their friendship groups. Oh and if you're on free school meals you don't get to buy some of the things the other kids get, equality out the window
pretty decent school, most teachers are nice. the grounds aren’t too bad but the actual school is a bit grim, although we’re supposed to have a new one built, but nothing seems to be happening with that. They’ve handled corona well and they seem to have relaxed a bit so it’s more fun than the uptight twats we came back to school for
