I'm going to yr8 and I was an alr yr7 but it is really shit they have banned phones and the teachers are no help to bullying u got parked bc a teacher said to me je thought I was going to beat a kid in my French when he was bullying me so after school I kicked him pushed him and shit and I got in trouble
Terrible. Most teachers don’t care about personal problems and only care about tiny little problems which they blow out of proportion. Very b¡tchy environment especially with girls. Don’t send you kids here.
Ahahah this school is where all the rats go to pretend to get an education. Literally was bullied by everyone, students and teachers alike. Although, it’s fun not being noticed when I’m missing from school. Anyway 10/10 if you love biohazard food and fake road men. If not… you’re pretty much out of luck.
God really said YOLO and let the kevicc kids roam free on this earth. Do not trust anyone, especially the year 7s.
Please, head my warnings. Stay far away from this school if you value what little you have left of your mental health.
This school is, and I don't say this often, a shit show. 10 or so years ago KEVICC was a good school that held self expression, pupil welfare, mental health and kindess as it's centeral priority. For numerous reasons, it now is the opposite. Although grades an ofsted reports may be good, this school is not a safe or caring enviroment whatsoever. It has such a vast collection of problems that thier hard to list: from it's insistent denail of the server problem of rape culture (sexist attitude to girls, nudes leaked etc etc) racism (not diverse at all, minority cultures are bullied and ganged up upon) and homophobia (LGBTQ+ kids are mercilessly bullied) all ignored by teachers. The bullying in general and the schools nonchalant attuide to it aren't great, but like most state secondary schools it's been stripped of funding by goverment.
Overall my experience was good. There was lots of opportunities for trips and workshops and also great facilities for dance, product design etc. However, I felt as if i was let down in terms of my mental health. When i first came the school about my issues i was promised things were to be put in place, however nothing changed when i got back. I spoke to the school again and once more i was told things would be better for me and i was also offered time with the councillor. Nothing changed. On one instance i was not feeling good so i went to the head of house office only to be told to stand outside, then 5 minutes later sent off to the nurse where i was sent back to my lesson. I was passed around and felt like nobody wanted to help or understand me. All of what i was promised was not there for me.
The teaching was good, just not consistent because of the many supply teachers we had that covered important content.
I feel as though the school could handle drugs and smoking better, and also safety as on occasions i witnessed both and also the same number students out of school during lunch.
