Little to no ability to handle the atmosphere of bullying, to the point i would allege the staff actively ignored it and let students suffer to make their jobs easier. This also extends to specific targeting of students due to them being apart of minority groups - misogyny was rife and multiple of my peers experienced transphobia and homophobia daily. There was no support for student’s mental health despite claiming to be a mental health conscious school. Former head of mental health/student wellbeing operations once casually told me I needed to seek professional psychiatric therapy, then never spoke to me again or attempted to check up on me for the rest of my time at the school (when she definitely would of had the opportunity to). Teaching standard was generally adequate, however some teachers were particularly bad at their jobs. Another thing I’d mention is the general strictness of the school feels rather unnecessary. Only positive point I could add is that the focus of Judaism in education is beneficial to both the Jewish students, facilitating a community and support network for them, and non-Jewish students, helping them to become more tolerant and accepting of those of a different culture and background. Yet in practice however, I noticed an atmosphere of casual antisemitism in some of my non-jewish peers.
