This school is great if you’re neurotypical and clever! If not then you’re screwed. All they care about is their reputation, they do nothing to support people living with neurodivergence’s. They wouldn’t even apply for an EHCP for me and did not do any reasonable adjustments for me. They never gave me any reason of why they wouldn’t. They don’t care about you, they care about your result. My maths teacher told me it would be a miracle if I got a grade 4. Who says that to a 16 year old? I got a grade 5 with absolutely no help from that school. I learnt nothing. I passed my exams as my parents had to pay for private tuition because that school is literally awful.
I went to Keswick School in Keswick Cumbria and it was a living hell. There was a lot of tolerated racism towards students who were not 100% white, there is absolutely no diversity at Keswick School at all. If you are of mixed race, ethnicity or from another country I would not recommend this school at all. There was excessive racist bullying and the teachers do nothing to prevent it. Keswick in general is definitely not a diverse or welcoming place and many Keswick residents haven’t even travelled out of the country!
As a parent I have found the school fantastic from Year 7 to A Levels. Kind caring Teachers that go above & beyond. Really lovely environment to grow up in. Children very polite & seem happy.
The school presents itself as being amazing but really its the opposite. The food is undercooked, the classrooms are smelly and mouldy and 90% of the teachers are stuck up pricks.
Brilliant teaching staff, pastoral team is excellent with dealing with anything, good facilities for music with a music centre at school and a wonderful place to be with an exciting buzz about it.
