If you get bullied, they don’t care about it, they just see if you are alright and forget everything that happened . The teachers are bad, they can’t control the classroom nor they are teaching the right things. Only 5% of students in year 11 past there GCSE’s which is bad. They mostly have cover teachers and they are giving the right work to different years which is the teachers fault because they are not giving information nor clear instructions of what they need to do in class. A teacher said to me, is that it is the students fault because of the ofsted report but actually it is the teachers fault. They don’t do enough GCSE’s revision and they always close the school down in the holidays they should do revision through the holidays to help the year 11 to pass there GCSE’s and increase the percentage of how many students pass there exams.
was a good school till miss bibby joined, i got insulted multiple times by her and disrespected by other teachers. resulted in me crying 3 periods straight due to how horrible the school made me feel. half of the time no one learnt anything because the teachers wouldn’t be able to control the students
Transfered my daughter to a different school. Bullying is on going and never sorted. Staff is made up of substitute teaching staff . Would never recommend this school .
Horrible school 0/10 teachers are.. ok (most of the good ones quit because of how bad the school is) and the students are horrific will 100% cause your mental health to spiral good look in counselling/therapy if you went there also they send all the kids who got kicked out of Gainsborough/scunthorpe there to huntcliff its so bad
i had an operation in august 2020 and i was very fragile i spent 6 weeks off school and i got nocked whilst waiting to go home since i just started going back part time. The head teacher was right in front of me and the assistant head and they didn't care ! also i was bulled by toxic friends. Some of the teachers are very nice tho.
When my daughter first started at Huntcliff (2016) the school was good and the teachers seemed lovely. Her dad went to the school (left back in 1997) and the school was good then. Since the new headteacher came in the school has really gone down hill. Students aren’t punished properly. We’ve experienced multiple situations where students weren’t punished correctly and where my daughter was made to be in the wrong. When she broke her ankle, another child tried to kick her in this ankle. At that point in time she did not have a cast, just a sock. If the child had managed to kick her they would have done more damage. My daughter used her crutch to get the girl away from her. My daughter was the one who was punished and made to stand out side a teachers office for 20 minutes as detention. She had a broken ankle and they made her stand in a busy corridor! She’s had her head smashed into a window and barley anything was done. My son can barely concentrate in lessons due to the rude and downright disrespectful students in his class. I have many the story about things the school have done but it’ll do no good writing them here. They are getting a new head in September (to late for my girl as she’s leaving soon) but hopefully this will bring a good change. We’ve also noticed that it tends to be children that come on buses from out of town (from Gainsborough) that cause many of the schools issues and bullying problems. Gainsborough children shouldn’t even be attending Huntcliff, as they do no live in the same county as the school. For future children who go to This school, I really do hope it begins to get back to the great school it used to be. Maybe some teachers that actually want to be in school teaching would be a help.
