Terrible school.kids are nasty and teachers never did anything to help along with not properly feeding children in isolation and I got told by a teacher “it’s a privilege to be able to eat in isolation”
It isn’t fair with the uniform rules how does uniform have anything to do with learning how does shoes such as airforces affect anything they aren’t scruffy and look sensible so I think the students should be aloud to wear them and skirts should be allowed rolled up if they are too high I understand but otherwise it is fine.
I have had 3 children attend Huish Episcopi and I have not been impressed by the standard of education , the discipline or the expectations for the children. I could have written the 2022 OFSTED report and despite the school being taken over by United Learning this year , things haven’t really changed. SENCO provision especially for those with less severe needs continues to be awful.
I do not feel the children leave the school equipped to compete with children from other schools where standards and expectations are set so much higher.
This school was outstanding for my girls. There were some amazing teachers but the senior management team was always weak. Watched girls getting off buses last week with their skirts pulled up so high their knickers were on show, but no one of senior management team who were greeting the kids off the buses challenged them, not even the new managers brought in to sort out discipline challenged them despite it being impossible not to notice. Clearly decided it was easier to leave to the form tutors to challenge, very sad, they should be supporting the teachers not leaving everything to them.
Its a shit school can't lie, don't go here if you can avoid it
Shit school, not many good teachers. None do anything about bullying, and when it happens during lesson they turn a blind eye to it. Have been bullied since year 7 and am now in year 10. nothings changed, few good teachers who are actually passionate about their subject they teach. lots of roadmen and chavs, its turning to a shithole and there is a minimum of 1 scrap a day
I’m in year 10 at Huish and so far my experience hasn’t been too good. The current headmaster in my opinion puts in rules that are not needed at all and make no difference except making life difficult for students. An example of this is students getting a lunchtime for taking more than 3 minutes to get to a lesson, when it takes around 5 minutes normally. Teachers ask for respect but most don’t give it to the students and they are incredibly rude to students sometimes and try to make life difficult. The people in the school are good though, I’ve always had mates and I’ve got a really good group of mates and there aren’t any bullies or anything.
I personally think that the current head teacher is handling the pandemic alright, he's put in a 'one way' system in place and fave covering's are being worn throughout the corridors, I'm in yr 11 and I know the rules pretty well, I could say every change we've had since 2017 of having a new headmaster. He's doing alright.

Left my sister with mental health condition in isolation through her whole school period without having a valid reason half the time.
Also left me with my mental health conditions to fail , causing my further problems in my life.
DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONES CHILD!!!
