If I could rate it a 0 I would..

I get death threats everyday, the teachers are really strict.. and a lot of the teachers need to keep their eyes up.. not down.

I literally got a detention for wearing trainers!! But it was for a medical reason.

I hate all the teachers. I don’t even wanna begin to talk about what happens in A3 when nobody is watching.

And I don’t want to sound too picky but I was worrying about something soo I told a member of staff and got told to shut up.

This school treats students like defences animals most of the time

Here is a year 10,s opinion by me a current student in 2023

Let's give a truly honest viewpoint here from a student in year 10 because why not get an opinion from someone who is still here. I'm bored but why not I just feel like it.

Lessons:
The amount of different lessons they offer and teach is a fair enough amount and it's all good. I currently study history, geography, citizenship and business studies. They are all generally well taught and enjoyable lessons. However more help could be definitely used within lessons were there are supply teachers because the students become more noisy and troublesom
Assembly:
You tell people to shut up and fair enough the hall is good quiet but the teachers don't properly set an example because they just speak to each other. Also I think the music is rather bad too. Like I think probably a lot of students could probably agree that music could be changed so people might shut up. A good idea would maybe have a system of sorts were you ask students what music they would like to listen to and then create a playlist. Only add songs though if they are clean versions of songs or just age appropriate songs. If you do this then people might shut up because there favourite song is on and they would want to listen to it probably.

Break time:
I guess there's enough to do but I don't think clubs are properly pushed out there enough if that makes sense. Like in my form time I've noticed were not told about clubs but there's a small piece of paper somewhere on the wall saying what clubs are on and that's it. Other than that there's not much saying what clubs are on.

School trips:
A main issue I think a lot of people have are some of the trips have become far too expensive. Like for example that skiing trip I think was about £2000 or something like that. I think anyway or a couple of hundred pounds. maybe we could try to do something and make I don't residential trips or something again. Like they were good and not too expensive. Maybe like £100 or £200 I think. That wasn't too bad was it. People generally enjoy that stuff. Then again maybe we're to old for it but like in year 7(when I was in year 7) you told us about a residential trip but then COVID 19 and then that didn't happen. Maybe you could try get something like that running again so people aren't disappointed unless you are doing that and I'm unaware of it then keep going I guess.

Also you crushed my dreams of learning French at the fact you need to know Spanish to do french in year 10 which is utter bollox.i should be able to learn French if I'd like to without knowing Spanish because I didn't understand Spanish but new french a lot better. So yeah thanks for that idiots
Anyway that's why I give you 3 starts.

Very average

This school has some really good teachers and some really bad ones. The leadership is questionable and they care more about your uniform than your learning or wellbeing. I gave it 4/5 for safety and security. It doesn't seem unsafe and I haven't felt in danger while being there so I guess that's good. The food is okay not great not terrible but you can bring your own and they have a dining hall, cafe and pod as well as outdoor benches so that's okay. The indoor environment is old and dated but it is an old building. The corridors are too small so leads to crushes. They have a good outdoor environment which they just don't use. They have a beautiful bit of woodland which is now fenced off and barely ever used or maintained and 2 courtyards which have the same issue. I wish they would use these spaces more rather than just the concrete slabs. They do have plenty of outdoor football courts though and they will give you footballs at break and lunch if you want them. They do have cadets which is great if that's your thing. You can't join in year 8 you have to wait until year 7. In terms of gcses I haven't done then yet so the only thing I can say is that they only have one language to pick which is spanish.

Worst school ever

If your thinking off sending your child to this school please read this before you do...

My daughters well being and mental health has been massively affected since starting at this school the lack off support shes received for her medical conditions is an absolute joke i doubt they are treated this bad in prison!!!

Ive sent numerous emails to various members within the school right the way up to the headteacher and no one responds they completly ignore my concerns about my childs mental health

Average.

Way too many students for the actual site. Corridors are way too cramped and most of the time it's difficult to even move around the school, especially if you need to follow the one way system and have to go through the quad and through another entrance.
Some staff are really nice and good at teaching but some teachers for gcse subjects just don't know what they're doing, especially for gcse subjects which is worrying.

Appalling Leadership

The Leadership of this school is appalling! The Head Teacher, is a total waste of time. It seems they are more bothered about school uniform policy over actual learning and pull children out of lessons and placed in to heir (detention) with no work twiddling their thumbs. Every child has the right to learn in this country, yet the leaders of this school think it is acceptable for their students to miss key information in learning. They did this with my child in their final year of school. Thank goodness I removed them for the last 6 months and they got their grades they needed in another provision. Simple solution clear out the leaders, the teachers who deliver the lessons are good.

Don't bother here

The only good thing about this god forsaken school were a small handful of teachers that made you want to actually learn. The rest of the staff either didn't care about the important things or cared too much about the things that shouldn't need to matter. The headteacher was completely incapable of doing his job and frankly I'm glad I'm done with this school.

Good Teachers, Hypocritical Rules

the teachers here are absolutely amazing- not so much the people in charge; i’ve found my class teachers were much more supportive of me than heads of year etc! the rules in place seem to be unreasonable and hypocritical but other than that it’s great. with high school people are always going to be petty / rude etc but that doesn’t impact the school itself in my opinion.

A Good School

It's a good school and they let people be who they want to be. It was better pre-2020 but everything was.
