Terrible place ruins ur mental health

This school is terrible. I have been a student here at holy trinity/hts for most of my life and throughout the years its just gotten worse and worse. Kids get bullied to the point they aren't coming to school because of how sad they are. Teachers also can be very rude especially to those of SEN. I have been told that my work is terrible and that I'm going to fail in life. Not only do u get bullied but u get put into isolations and after school detentions for stuff like forgetting your swimming/pe kit. One time whilst I was in year 2 I got a lunchtime detention while screaming when playing tag , thats how stupid they are. Not only this but there are continuous fights with strangling and punching to the point people have to get sent home due to their injuries. About injures , one time a kid broke their arm and the school just give them a plaster. The cleaning Ladies find ciggeretes and vapes but instead of cleaning them they use them. Food is my next point , the food is vile and often times mouldy and the canteen will steal money from you and teachers will take ur food. The buildings a mess and the senior boys dont have a bathroom but the girls do. There have been numerous cases of students walking out of school when they feel like it. The older students also will bully younger students and do things very bad like try to push you out the window. I'm very happy that I'm leaving the school , please don't go here

horrible experience

Here's some fun little experiences I had with the school!

A student committed battery against me and the head of year ordered the student to apologise to me, I had a visible scar from the incident. No other sanctions were given.
At 11, the teacher tried to force me to participate in a swimming lesson even though I had said multiple times I was on my period. The teacher's response to that was that "my periods are sOoO irregular" as if it's not normal for periods to be irregular, especially when you first start menstruating. Another swimming lesson, I had started my period DURING school. I had mentioned that to the teacher and they phoned my mum to "double-check" and I was told off for 'lying' and not having a note.
The toilets were being renovated and the only other available toilet was behind the double doors which is "prohibited". At the time, my friends were doing their art GCSE exams and they had permission to be in that part of the building because the art room is in that vicinity. We all went to the toilets together and were all given after school detentions. (During lunch time) On another prior day I had asked to go to the toilet during a lesson (this is still while the toilets are being renovated) and the teachers response was that I should've gone at lunch time.
While on the topic of the toilet renovations, the renovations made violated our privacy while using the toilets. The toilets are located in the foyer, where students eat, hang out etc during break times and lunch times. The door was taken off, and the wall that previously disallowed the view into the toilet was now changed so that there was visible view into the toilet. The mirror is located in the left corner of the toilets, which is clearly visible. My Hijabi friend was unable to fix her hijab due to boys potentially seeing her hair while she fixed her hijab, we all had to cover her with our blazers to prevent this.
Vaping is a problem I agree, however the unconsented bag searches completely violate student's privacy. You cannot say you don't consent to these bag searches because you'll get punished!! On multiple occasions the teachers performing these bag searches snatched my energy drink from my bag because it's 'banned' while I had no intentions to consume it during school time: I had always bought an energy drink in the morning for work after school because if I had bought it after school, I would be late due to how busy the corner shop is and I would get reprimanded.
A student that frequently got caught vaping brought an extra vape into school and they were vaping during a lesson. This student in an attempt to get back at me, said the vape was mine and their friends also backed the story up. We
were immediately brought out of lesson to write statements and talk to the head teacher. While the student who's idea it was to say the vape was mine was speaking one on one to another teacher investigating the incident, one of their friends admitted that this was that students idea, and that I had absolutely no part in this. The head teacher continued to interrigate me and the others until I was in tears from how livid I was. In my statement I wrote that they should talk to the student sat to my left, and the two students who sat in the desk in front of mine as I had been chatting to them the whole lesson as I needed help. (We had a cover teacher whom I asked for help and couldn't help me). We all got sent home and my mother demanded an apology from the school, the next day we were all sent to a room to talk with a teacher about how vaping is bad and I never received my apology despite talking to the students I recalled in my statement who confirmed my story, and talking to the teacher who also confirmed my statement.
While I admit my attendance wasn't great: I had caught an infectious disease and staff came to my house to 'iNveStiGAte' and tell me to come back to school despite me providing proof of me doing the work at home. Originally, my sibling had it and when we went to the doctor the doctor told us that I should stay home too as I'm constantly exposed to my sibling. I was off for nearly 2 weeks. My mother complained to the school about this staff member, asking where and when she got her medical degree to tell me that I am 'cured' and all good to come back to school and potentially infect my classmates. This staff member complained that my mother should not be writing emails to the school about why I am off as it's my responsibility, but also complained when I wrote the emails. It is so stupid that the school requires a detailed explanation every day for absences, especially when you give an estimate to the recommended amount that you should be absent for. Because of this, I wrote very generic emails for my absence while having the disease, which this staff member complained about despite me sending pictures of proof that I still had the symptoms.
There are more but I have to revise x

Unprofessional school

Such an unprofessional school , a completely toxic environment. If an incident occurs the teachers often take sides and will only listen to one side of the story. I had multiple of my possessions stolen and even when it was clear on who had been stealing it the school didn't discipline her and she continued because she was never punished. The school never had a pastoral area until this yr , there was always a huge lack of support from the teachers and you can tell they are only teaching for the money and not because they actually care about the students.

A racist school that is mentally draining

I attended primary at holy trinity and was too young to notice the discrimination and racism from teachers however going through senior school it became more notisable , it's a school full of unfairness the teachers don't know the difference between what's personal and what's professional and aren't ready to take on the role of a teacher and all the responsibilities that comes with it . The food is atrocious and the school canteen steals money from your account , the toilets are disgusting and my friend once walked in on the cleaning smoking a fag during school hours instead of cleaning the toilets which is extremely unprofessional and disgusting. They put you in detention for no reason and you aren't allowed to even question it until after you have sat the detention, on multiple occasions I was put in detention for no actual reason and once I realised I got my mom involved and all they had to say was "oh sorry it was a mistake" after making me sit multiple detentions for no reason. The teaching is so bad you end up teaching the teacher , one of my netball coaches bullied me out of playing she was so unfair to me because of the colour of my skin , she would always make an excuse to not allow me to play in the matches , however all the other coaches believed in my ability . She would say I couldn't play because I never showed up to practice when everyone else including staff members could vouch for me. She claims it was her choice and she had "the last word" no matter how hard my other coaches tried to allow me to be put on in the matches it was no use. If you care about you mental health don't go to this school , the people are extremely toxic and the teachers don't know how to be fair or deal with mental health , if you go to this school you will find it so hard to wake up in the morning and go.

The people are extremely toxic and its overall a not nice and friendly environment , it takes alot of motivation to get up and go to that school in the morning - if you care about ur mental health don't go to this school.

Very poor safe guarding & SEN service, culture of bullying.

Very poor safe guarding & SEN service. High level of bullying which is ignored by staff, particularly of SEN & vulnerable children. Staff are unprofessional, which is a result of the poor & ineffective leadership & governance. Disability discrimination is part of the school culture. Reasonable adjustments are not made for children with disabilities, so the can safely take part in activities & residential trips.

Decent except for a few things

I attended primary school at holy trinity and had an overall average experience bar a few incidents, although most teachers were lovely there were a few not so good ones. The school doesn’t deal with bullying in the best way possible, my Jewish friends were called slurs and told that they deserved to die (this was on Snapchat) and all the teachers did was say that they shouldn’t be using the app.
There have also been instances of anti Semitic teachers.
The students were disruptive and discipline wasn’t always the greatest, as well as homophobic comments being made by my peers.
Food was amazing though, I 100% recommended the food.
A great range of different opportunities for students.
Pastoral care could definitely be better and the work was often not challenging

Terrible for bullying and other pastoral needs

School does not properly deal with bullying, mental health or care for its students safety, choosing the easy path rather than the best one for victims.
