Currently an s4 student, I’m just starting this off with saying the year heads are brain dead. The head teacher likes preaching to us that we’re a “proud school community with dignity” when the girls bathrooms have missing locks and doors and it’s a hotbox of vape fumes in there. The only reason we wear uniform is because we’ll get yelled at for it, not because we love “upholding the school code”
Teachers are a mixed bag. Most are nice, some just don’t know how to teach. I’ve had maybe two I enjoy seeing but most don’t do anything to make the class environment the slightest bit nicer for anyone who isn’t a stuck-up chav girl. They’ll genuinely giggle or laugh hearing those groups of girls gossip about some new victim.
Speaking of, all the chavs and gangsters in this school is abysmal.
I genuinely hope they do something about those clones wandering about the school. You know how insanely annoying and humiliating it is being in the bathroom just to have your door kicked in by one of those ugly rip-off barbies that’ll end up in some low-end street on London begging for money??
I can’t even will myself to get my attendance up. The school is depressing. The food isn’t too bad, at least.
About attendance, year heads also like shouting at you to get it up and say they’ll bar you from going into s5 if the attendance is too low. What did you people expect, genuinely? Having to be in an environment where the main school body is either blondie clones, 13 year old groups of boys that make you feel like they’ll try something when you walk past, or just outright weirdos who can’t practice regular hygiene, no one would be tempted to keep up perfect attendance without needing a mandatory for the sake of mental health.
In any case, thinking about this school gives me a headache, so I’m ending the review here.
worst school i have ever been to in my life. forced to wear smart uncomfortable clothes. attendance/head teachers dont give a shit about how you feel they only care about attendance. was threatened by council becuase of my attendance. i think i speak for a few people when i say the school is terrible. only thing i look forward to is seeing my friends and then going home. i would say the only good thing about this school is the education.
I'm doing so well in school. I have loads of friends. I'm not particularly good at sports but I feel very nurtured by the PE teachers. I wish I could stay here for longer. They have really supported me through my studies. They have a Support for Learning department and when I had some bad mental health, they helped me get past that. My teachers are all supportive and most of them are nice. I wish everyone the best here.
Bullying and threatening behaviour from several teachers
Pupils subjected to bullying and threatening behaviour from several senior teaching staff. Causing mental health issues to pupils concerned. Real lack of empathy. Not interested in non academic pupils. False accusations made against pupils. No apologies given when the accusations are confirmed as false. Pupils then victimised further to prove their accusations are confirmed. Sadly. There are real concerns for the pupils at this school as a direct result of senior teaching staffs behaviour.
st augustine are allowed to wear bonnets and durag etc.. and this holyrood do not respect black cultural accessories. st augustine even made a assembly saying you can wear it but this school well call it a hat which is very disrespectful to black people. am in class doing my work and the head teacher walks in and says “take off that hat” i didn’t want to but she didn’t leave until i took it off. this is very unfair and they should respect black people. i feel like people need to be educated about our black cultures and the things we wear, the reason we wear bonnets and durags is to protect our hair, so i don’t think that it should be a problem to wear it in school. there shouldn’t be a problem with black cultural accessories. am in s3 and i can’t even move school because am not allowed
very sexist, boys can wear joggers in pe but girls cant? boys dont get in trouble for wearing joggers or jeans during school but girls get noticed straight away. head of maths department is very racist, he got suspended but why not fired? the school building isnt very good either, floods inside easily. canteen workers are quite rude and food there isnt the best. i do not recommend this as a pupil in the school atm.
Very bad school, very racist and don't value hard work all they do is just shout at you.
Also very sexist always pick girls for everything. they always think that if you are in a group of people that your are a gang and you are trolling teachers.
**** ** ***** is a racist who picks on students for his own entertainment. This school employs terrible staff who cause mental health problems for majority of their students. As a students I do not recommend.
