Both my children have attended Holly House. One is now at school.
I have always found staff pleasant and caring with great knowledge about my child. Both my children have loved it there and i have always been happy.
I agree some what with the other comments there is sometimes a smell from the bathroom. But I am sure that is the same for any school/ nursery where you get groups of young children.
I always label my child's clothes etc so no issue with things getting lost.
Food is home cooked and my child mostly enjoys them.
I completely disagree with the review about staff not liking children and just there for the money. It is well known how little pay nursery staff get so I hardly think they do the job just for the money.
I would definitely recommend this nursery.
There has recently been a change in owner too. I have noticed some positive changes due to this.
Obviously that review was left by one of the many disgruntled old bingo wings they have there. Miserable, fake and bitchy.. most of them. Clearly don't care about the children, just there for their cash in hand. π
FILTHY bathroom conditions, disgusting actually, literal feces on the toilet rim and smells terribly of urine. Strangely defensive comments from staff members when asked anything by parents. Children's clothing and shoes always go missing, many parents commented on this. There was a few nice decent staff members though who seemed caring, genuine and hard working, especially a younger quieter one, o, and a long timer, n. Same can't be said for the middle aged scally bitching behind the door before it opens π€£ sad. Many parents shared the same opinion on that one! The children made some great friends there though and generally did enjoy it so that's all that matters I suppose. Would I recommend Holly House to anyone looking to start their children off at nursery? Definitely not!!
It's a shame though as it has potential. With a THOROUGH scrub down, better training and a SERIOUS look at certain staff members and how unprofessional they behave..........

Don't agree with either comment. Both my children attended Holly House day nursery. Both were well cared for by passionate, caring staff. I am π― sure if they did call social services it was justified. Staff are very professional.
Really bad . My two children were not cared for properly always left in dirty nappies . The same amount of nappies were always in the bag when picking them up . Staff are lazy and when you complain they report you to social services . Thankfully most of the cases from us parents were dropped instantly but itβs disgusting what they put parents through . Claire the owner has a terrible temper . My advice would be to be very careful and do not cross or challenge them unless you want social services on your back investigating you for lies .
