The school has a poor management with a strict head teacher who doesn’t care about the quality of the school but only about her image. The good teachers leave usually after less than year.
i’ve been biting my tongue for so long about this school, i thought that i would get over it but i haven’t. when i was at the school i was struggling with depression. when i brought this up to the school, one teacher told me to “get over it, life’s hard”. a couple of months later, it got really bad and again i brought it up to teachers and all she said was “that’s a crazy way to view your life”. that made everything worse. i would wake up having panic attacks most days, even had some in school and the schools solution was to put me in a tiny room with a desk and one window i couldn’t even reach to open for over 5 hrs a day. that made me feel like i was actually crazy. when i finally left school, i decided not to continue education for my own health. i thought now that i’m out of school, i would be happier but that’s not the case. till this day i still wake up having panic attacks thinking i have school, i have a recurring dream about me being stuck in that school and i haven’t been able to hold down a job cause it reminds me of school (having to follow a timetable, having a break and lunch etc) being diagnose with depression at 15 makes me feel so angry. it stopped me from being a normal teenager. the only thing i left school with was PTSD. i will never ever forget how this school treated me and my mental health. they could of done so much more than lock me away. also they completely lied to my whole year MULTIPLE TIMES. my year was their guinea pigs. this school only cares about their reputation and they have failed the people who actually give that reputation. i would do anything to go back and take my younger self out of that school.
I went to hoe valley and was bullied the whole time. There were very few good teachers and a lot of violence, sometimes fights every week. The head teacher was absolutely atrocious and would pick on me constantly and separated me from the class for no reason. She also did absolutely nothing about any bullying the whole time. Some teachers were even worse than the kids. I absolutely do not recommend.
The Normandy landings were the landing operations and associated airborne operations on Tuesday, 6 June 1944 of the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during World War II. Codenamed Operation Neptune and often referred to as D-Day, it was the largest seaborne invasion in history.
I wish I listened to the reviews of this school and never sent my daughter.
Very few good teachers and the head is awful. She doesn’t call you back or respond to emails. The business studies department has a teacher who constantly shouts at the students and worse, every lesson, calls them stupid!
its alr ig the foods pretty banging apart from the sweet and sour chicken i would reccommend the cookies. the lessons are boring i dont like some teachers because they cant teach which is ironic bc theyre called teachers. apart from that its fairly okay the y7s are abit savage tbf.
great school, some teacher need replace. some teacher can't handle the student, they left. teacher that rude and they look like they were tring to kill the student, they stay. too many physical attack from other student, btw it still a great school, it is easy to make friend.
This school is a lot better than winston. A few of my friends go to winston and they say its shit but hvs is a lot better. There is a lot of cultral days and language days, they stop bullying and do not care if you are a certain religion. I love it. x
Poorly run. Teachers leave after a few months teaching there because they can’t cope with the behaviour of the students. Some even leave within weeks. Classes left without subject teachers for long periods of time and replaced with cover teachers.
Only positive is the new sports facilities when you’re allowed to use them.
