Hindley High School

It is a very good school with very good learning intentions but I would like to focus on some of the small factors my school does not excite me with. For example they have no recycling program so they are not influencing student or staff the help the environment or recycle. Also another not is that when student finished their exams and hopefully pass they should be able to attend prom which if obviously if they wish not to attend they have that chose but my school has rules such as you have to get invited. With in my opinion and most of the pupils in the school frown upon as prom should be a day that all passing student should have the chose to celebrate how amazing they have done in their exam and putting a limit on this is an unfair advantage to manny pupils at my school that have after lessons and revising have passes their life changing exams that will effect their future.

The learning is different depending on the teacher you get, certain teachers that have been at the school for longer periods of time have terrible ways of explaining subjects/topics. EG. we had a test a while back and none passed, one of the teachers who tought us the topics disregarded his way of teaching an issue as a factor on why no one passed. They couldnt understand that it wasnt entirely the students faults for not revising, if the highest mark on a test is 15/50 there is a bigger issue then revising. As the school changed to an outwood academy many people distrupt lessons taking away 10-15 each lesson. Many of the students are disrespectful and dont get any form of punishment.

The school meals are terrible with out of the five school days there is only 1-2 meals that everyone likes, on certain days you will spend 10 minutes out of the 30 minute lunch queueing for there to be no food left at all. The school has also started having teachers watching over the lines so no one pushes in, this is a complete failure as teachers watch people push in and if you say anything to them they will shrugg it off. Many teachers also push in the lines at the front taking the last meal, if a student did this the teachers would be giving you a detention.

The worst school I have ever seen in the uk I was sat down witch a teacher after being took out from the class I’m sure he still works there and he still hasn’t been sacked from what he has done he was putting his hand on my thighs and I did not feel comfortable so I told him to stop and he said don’t u dare speak to me like that and carried on speaking and started doing it again so I stood up and walked out and he followed me then he got 2 more teachers following me round the school i would have rung my parents but my bag and blazer was still in the class room he had took me out off I got suspened and they did not tell my dad the full story so I did and my dad went into the skl complaining and they said they didn’t have ctv in the class rooms so they can’t do anything about it and they said he was following me bc of safe guarding issues I think it’s a joke they don’t have cameras in class rooms but they have em in toilets that school is outrageous and they expelled me permanently and said I was making false things about a member of staff at the school personally I would not send ur kids to that school This was when I was in year 9 it was last year I’m in year 10 now and I go a different school I am still thinking about it and I do not think it’s right don’t trust anything them teachers say I am writing this now because I am hearing that school is getting worse so I would just like to tell all the parents out there not to trust them teachers or anything they say or do

I got bullied and I told teachers they didnt listen they out u down all the time don’t let u go toilet one teacher was saying to students there a waste of space they man handle u they are horrible and they lie they cut the ctv they say students first all they care about is ur uniform and attendance I cracked my head open they put a plaster on it the plaster fell of bc of the amount of blood that was pouring out and they give me a ice pack I had a banging head bc off it they wouldn’t even ring home for pain killers it really is a bad skl I wouldn’t recommend sending ur kids there

The worst school ever. The teachers are lazy, and they’re pushovers. All I have learned so far is from myself, and I’m moving to Year 11. They don’t set hard enough work, and it feels they’re not really pushing our potential. They are no human compassion, especially the school nurses, they just laughed when I needed help as I felt and have been sick. I broke my hand at the high school, and the handling was poor. They did not send my home as they did not think that my pain was real. It turns out that I broke 11 bones in my hand, and it swelled 3x the size of my normal hand, and they couldn’t tell the difference. They care too much on attendance and their reputation rather than the students. Some teachers are nice, and are good teachers like my English and Spanish teachers. They actually care and I generally had good experiences in those subjects. The main problem in this school is the leadership, they lack empathy and only in it for the money. However a positive is the handling of bullying which the teachers usually notice first, not SLT. If they find out that I wrote this, they’ll probably give my detention/expelled for calling out their hypocrisy and the negatives in their school.
