At Highfields, the Spanish lessons are amazing! they are structured extremely well and are really fun to take part in! especially the year 7 after school Spanish quiz!
Given what you have typed it makes me not wanna go to this school if they aren't ready to put a kids mental health and wellbeing as a priority then it's not good it might nmbe good educational wise but if you can put a kids feeling first then it's not school for a child
Discrimination against mental health at Highfields School.
Some teachers who are meant to support pupils are very ignorant towards mental health and just pick fault with pupils and lack empathy towards children with mental health issues.
They complain about attendance even though proof is given for medical reasons.
They would rather there attendance records stay low than offer any support and understanding.
These teachers need retraining especially when they are supposed to be working with children.
If your child has a disability and your looking at sending them to Highfields i would give serious thought about this as a child with a disability will be failed within this school.
decent school. wish the teachers did a bit more about issues and a lot of the kids there are just genuinely horrible but that’s expected in every school. probably one of the best schools if not the best in wolves.
Highfields goes above and beyond to make sure you get a good education. They provide a lot of opportunities and information to us and support us educationally. However, they don’t care about their students personal lives and make no attempt to emotionally support our mental health.
