absolutely awful school. You lot spend money on useless items, You have whole rooms of computers, boxes of dirty, uncleaned laptops, a whole airport metal detector and can't even afford to fix up the bathrooms? how are people even supposed to go to the bathroom if theres not a single toilet seat in there? the bathroom floors in the stalls are absolutely disgusting as well. You don't spend money on the students, but what rather is convenient for the teachers. Are you even thinking of the students? Buying a whole airport metal detector for phones and it being basically useless on day 1. Sure, there can be other reasons for metal detectors like weapons, but maybe if you delinquents actually sorted out situations, weren't a piece of work and actually took good care of the school, Students wouldn't have the urge to go and stab people. and no, A few anti bullying posters won't work. This school is laughable, it's a comical excuse for a school and i could go DAYS ranting on how absolutely dreadful, sickening and nauseating this excuse for a school is. do better
quite literally the worst place ever, school is falling apart yet it was rebuilt in 2017, tiles falling out roofs, skirting boards coming away from walls? teachers don’t know how to properly comfort students, councillor can barely handle students if they’ve had over 9 sessions and apparently seeing ‘no improvement’, during assembly’s about behaviour teacher will casually threaten that they have the power to send you to a different school, after six attendance meetings will give up and forget about every they’ve done to implement help and will ignore it, teachers scrolling on phones for an entire lesson after an assembly about a phone ban? also really dirty
The teachers are awful and they still hire a woman who literally talks about extremely inappropriate and personal topics in the classroom. Pupil support staff are useless because they literally don’t care about you they just care about getting you in lessons. I literally asked for help with my mental health and they pretended like they would help me and then I heard nothing from them. I was asked about my mental health in a room full of students while I was shaking and crying my eyes out due to me having a panic attack by a pupil support staff member which was horrific. I once skipped a lesson with my friend which I acknowledge was a bad idea, however, the teacher and a pupil support staff member interrogated me and not my friend which felt very targeted. This school also will call the police if you don’t show for a lesson which I think is a huge waste of police time like they have so much more important stuff to do. Teachers also get involved in drama and take sides on it which is highly embarrassing and unprofessional. A teacher kept trying to sort out an argument between me and another student and it resulted in the student storming off and reporting me to pupil support for no reason and lying about me which was a waste of their time and me crying my eyes out because the student was yelling at me. While the student yelled at me, the teacher in question refused to let me go back to lesson and didn’t intervene. She literally just apologised which sounded extremely fake and she only did because I was crying. Another teacher did nothing to a boy who was making inappropriate comments about me on Snapchat during lesson and taking pictures of my legs. This school also doesn’t fix the locks on the toilets so there are hardly any toilets available and the toilet paper is so thin it’s almost nonexistent. The floors are covered in dirt and they decided to paint a hallway floor to ceiling with green paint which looks awful. I barely get taught anything because no teacher comes in because of how awful this school is. Nobody washes their hands and they all vape and it’s disgusting. The school wants to stop vaping but do nothing to help people who do vape which is just hypocritical. The school cares about uniform to a concerning extent. I’m sure me not wearing a blazer won’t make me drop to set 5 math. Stop worrying about uniform and start actually working on the long waiting list of people suffering with mental illness waiting for counselling. Hire more counsellors instead of hiring more people who can’t teach and say highly inappropriate stuff in the classroom. Also, maybe actually teach sex education instead of assuming we know it would be more helpful that quadratic formula or whatever. In conclusion, don't go to this school it’s literally the worst.
Honestly as I’m a student there, i enjoy being at the school. But recently there have been issues that don’t seem to settle right with me. To start off ever since I joined that school the P.E teachers always had a soft spot for the “popular kids”. They seem to be able to get along with them extremely well and even when they’re misbehaving they’re never really told off. I also wish the bullying issues would be solved. I was walking home from school one day and a group of kids were picking on someone I knew, saying he was “gay” and a “pick me”. I defended him but even if he told the school he’d most probably be told that they can’t do anything when it’s off the school premises. And an even worse subject, the vaping and smoking that goes on in the school is disgusting. You walk out of class and you get a strong smell of someone’s vape. People also vape in class some times, which is disgraceful. They really need to sort their priorities out.
some teachers are so good, nice, genuinely care about the students but the majority of the school just care about how much they're getting payed for the bare minimum. the head teacher is always in hibernation and no one takes students requests for things seriously. teachers really need to be better trained to deal with things like autism, ADHD exc. this is a school with a lot of the students having to deal with some sort of mental health illness and there isn't enough teachers who care enough about students to help those who need it. we should have more places for people to go in school for just some down time and we need to teach the teachers how to understand the students, just because they are 'children' doesn't mean that their point is any less valid than yours. some of the teachers seriously need to be sacked due to their lack of empathy and understanding of people. I fully understand that it is their job just to teach but they have a responsibility over the 6hrs that we are at school to take care of us, which some of them are not doing at all. also they really need to ask students who genuinely care about their education and can communicate about it well how to better the school and what they can do to help.
Some of the teachers are so good, really nice, genuinely care about the students but the majority of the school cares more about the money that they're getting for being payed than the well-being of the students. Teachers need more training to understand people with disabilities like autism, ADHD exc. The head teacher never comes out of hibernation and no one takes any sort of requests from students seriously. It's a school with a lot of kids who have mental health issues and the only kids who get any kind of recognition are typically the badly behaved ones. Some of the teachers should seriously be sacked because of their lack of empathy and understanding of different people.
The school has changed allot thanks to me suggesting they recognise more hidden disability’s. I introduced the sunflower scheme to
Head teacher and now they are
On the right track
