teachers treat kids like trash and have no self respect for any of the students learning.Kids are made to go home and do 7 pieces of homework to only be told off for it if they cant complete in the time frame.I think this is terrible as some students have mental health issues and nobody helps not even the safeguarding team.Students are made to do their best as if it isnt 8:30 on a monday morning like im sorry i dont wanna do pe in the rain.Food is terrible as students who get free school meals only have £2.85 for the day and that means they have to go without lunch due to the overprising of food.ol.
When i went here i was r*ped on school premises, i was put into a unit isolated from everybody else for my protection. The school did not deal with this issue very well. I was then sexually assaulted by his friend and again not helped. I was told by the SENCO of the school that she knows the boys and they couldn’t have done that. i was put into a room with these boys for and after school detention as they had a period 6. i asked to go to another room to do my detention and was refused. i was forced to spend time in a room with my attackers. The whole situation was dealt with very very badly on the schools behalf.
-All staffed are horrendously
overworked.
- Beware of SLT. They are snide, cliquey, intimidating people... avoid at all costs.
-Heads of department have huge ego trips and roll their eyes when other staff call in sick for mental health issues/sickness.
-Work load is not sustainable, so many of the teachers go above and beyond at the risk of loosing any personal life and are at near burnout, but worryingly pretend to be fine to not let anyone down.
-Role Call = a ridiculous circus at the start, of the day, where tutors are not allowed to speak to students other than checking pencils/pens etc.. then taking them straight to reading time, forgetting that this is really the only time for any pastoral care.
-The headteacher will make many false promises. Massive let down.
-Their strict behaviour management policy is laughable with misogynistic male teachers in charge, who do nothing for bullying outside the school or out of view of teachers. Potentially an assembly yearly, where the kids fall asleep..
-Teachers who raise any issues, are spoken to like children who have misbehaved.
-There are at least 5 meetings per week and if you are made to teach multiple subjects, which you will be made to do as they are disgustingly short staffed, you have to go to additional meetings on top of this.
-Heads of dept are extremely disorganised and finish important task last minute. Many a Sunday night I was sent the PP for a Monday morning by Heads of Year..
-SLT love walking randomly into your classroom and watching you without prior notice, really gets the anxiety going. I spoke to 4 other teachers who said then this prompted anxiety attacks at break/lunch time.
-Break and Lunches are rare as someone would have asked you to cover something.
- Favouritism of staff is fraught. Doing the same or even more work in comparison to a male teacher will go unnoticed. Whereas, the loudest males in this workplace get the most attention.

Claims to be amazing,it isn't. most staff are stuck up and downright unfair, they seem to enjoy the stress and pain of people who's just trying to get by.
