This was a very sad time in my life as I was bullied (again) and had my bag and it’s contents stolen from me and the school did nothing about it but what made it even worse was when I was sat in history and my teacher told me to answer a question about the boy in the striped pyjamas and I answered it wrong and she replied by saying “no the nazis never gave the Jews chicken nuggets you bloody imbecile” to which I replied with “I hope you turn into a chicken nugget” and she replied with “I hope you don’t get gassed before you do that” to which I ran out the room crying as my parents died when they were working on building a mustard gas bomb and it failed so I was about to kill myself when I got back until I saw my parents at the door and it turns out they were never gassed.
I used to love this school and it’s teachers most especially mr pickhaver
He was a nice teacher and very supportive and I used to stay in his classroom for lunch and sit on his lap and he’d tell me all about his time in this school and after school he’d even let me come round and have sleepovers with him
This school is rubbish. the other day I got locked in the small hall while it was boiling hot all because I was going to "hurt someone" they held the door closed for an hour with no way out I was screaming crying and they shouted at me you should not shout at someone while they are crying this is not right and in the end I got suspended for "not listening" it's the worse school Mr hooper is the worst and so is Mr Tinkler they physically pushed me when I tried to open the door to get out not good to push a 15 year old when you are like 6'6 or somthing like that
awful school
so many bullies and people making fun out of others
school don't care for your mental health
always have to learn in the small hall because there's not enough teachers (never about the right subject)
medical is always closed and they got rid of the zen den which helped so many students
not even allowed to wear your pe kit because it isn't formal even tho it's extremely hot
always have to ask to take your jumper off
they care more about your uniform then mental health
when we did pe in the caravan thing down near the CC it was full of mould and the lights were hanging off the celing
toilets are disgusting you can't even use them because of the amount of people that go in there to vape
not even allowed to go toilet
some teachers don't even teach you
students can be very disrespectful and barley let anyone else learn in the classroom
This school is horrible, there is a rat infestation and is very unhygienic the toilets are filthy the teaches don't care about students mental health they are a rubbish school and do nothing to help especially bullying
Shocking levels of negligence, particularly from the SEND team. Zero pastoral care.
Totally unsafe for majority of students. How is it still operating???
This school is shocking. No good teachers left. My daughter been bullied really badly since day one from being punched to name calling to even threatening to beat her up by older aged kids in that school we complained and complained to school asked to speak to the headmistress to deal with the situation as no other teacher was helping was just passing my child to different teacher as they couldn't deal with it they were more worried of trying to take her phone from her when she didn't felt safe and called me rather than dealing with the proper issue bullying there is no communication from school you call then and they say they will ring you back as they all busy but they never do I am still waiting to have an appointment with headmistress and she just ignored us. They called me that my child wasn't in school yet her app said that she was and she was they just lost her even thou she was at all her lessons. My child don't feel secured and safe in school at all. No communication at all from school apart from an email which is all about the changes that they doing but nothing is being changed at all this school should be closed down. Not enough stuff changing lessons constantly due to lack of teachers in this school or sometimes no lessons at all my child's class at one period had no teacher at all so they've been left to their own devices my child can't even learn properly because teachers can't deal with disruptions properly. No sitting area outside or if there is is so little and not enough for all the students so my daughter had to put down her jacket down on a muddy grass so her jacket was filthy just to be able to sit down and eat her lunch. A lot of students go hungry as long cues to pick up some lunch from the canteen as not enough time to wait to get their dinner and eat it before they have to go back to lessons. Not enough teachers checking the outdoors when kids are out they vape/smoke, fight and my child even said students drink alcohol in schools in the blind spots and teachers never see it as they never there. Last but not least not enough support for SEN children and children which needs extra support.
Awful. No communication, dirty toilets and little outdoor seating
Having been a student for almost 5 years, I can safely say that there a lot of things wrong with the school - especially since the new head joined. There’s little to no communication with either students or teachers to the point where many of us don’t officially know what the plan is for the strike days this Wednesday and Thursday. The toilets are mostly unusable or disgusting to the point that no one wants to use them and there hasn’t been soap in one of the dispensers all year. When we get forced outside because it’s “sunny” - not warm, just sunny - many people end up sitting on the floor or on fenced because there’s little outdoor seating. Honestly I don’t blame all the teachers who have left, I can’t wait to not have to associate with this place either.
Hooliganism, Absenteeism, Open sexual/immoral frivolity.
It's so awful and distasteful. I don't consider this a learning environment rather than a breeding ground for hooligans and bunch of bullies, gangs and touts.
I pity any parent sending their children to the school.
A word is enough for the wise.
not good becuase form is after lesson 1 the zen den is gone and the laptoops are useless

When evaluating schools according to their quality, parents and students look at many factors. A school's student body and teacher qualification rates are two factors that most parents consider when deciding where their children will go to school. The ranking of a school's student body usually correlates with its overall standing. However, schools can be highly rated despite having a poor student body. Therefore, it's important to consider both the number and quality of a school's students when evaluating its quality.
Heathfield community school is a sixth grade school in Southampton, England. Most of its students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds; many don't have enough food to eat every day. Therefore, most of the school's students are poor. Although this fact makes the school an excellent place for poor children to learn, it makes it an obstacle for high-scoring children who need more enriching courses in place. The school's low ranking indicates that the government needs to improve the educational opportunities available to low-income families.
Hey geuss who got their tie stolen then chased along a roundabout outside of the school by an underaged kid on an electric scooter and a kid covered in spots yours truly KL-G

please for the love of god do not send your child here
im going to be real, this school is awful and theres no other way to put it. my mental health has never been the greatest, ive had bad anxiety since primary and this school has made it so much worse, sometimes to the point that ill wake up and cry because im so scared to walk thorugh the gates. im currently in year 11 and im very happy about it being my last year as ive had such an awful time here. back throughout the whole of year 7, 8 and 9, i was a victim of awful bullying and nothing was done about it, i was told just to ignore it and it'd stop. it didnt stop until year 10 when we no longer had any classes together and even then im still anxious every time i see the person who made my life a living hell for 3 years straight. the quality of the school is disgusting too, theres old chewing gum stuck everywhere, to the point i wouldnt be surprised if the whole school is built out of the stuff and the toilets are disgusting. i just wish they'd clean them, ive literally seen my name written on cubicle walls calling me a "b!tch" and a "dirty little gay wh0re" as well as things about my friends. ok, i wont lie, some lessons are enjoyable, i love my computer science classes because im with a friend and my teachers amazing, french is good as well, and im doing best in those subjects. but im not going to sugar coat it, some teachers ive had previously were just downright rude and i found learning really difficult for most of my time here. there's also no extra curricular stuff for people in year 10/11 other than the "pride club" which even then is just sitting in the library not doing anything. overall the environment is revolting and there are so many unresolved issues that are point blank ignored by students and staff. so happy to be leaving in may/june time, this school sucks

I am currently a Yr11 student at Heathfield, and I would not be wrong in saying that it has gone downhiill over the past couple of years. The school has always been known for our misbehavior, however this year and last year have been when I have observed it at its worst. This year, not only have a witnessed an increase in fighting, drug usage and vapers/smokers at the back of the field, I have also rarely seen any SLT/Teachers coming to the back to deal with it. Also, as many have said before, the school does not care for or deal with students mental health correctly, and that is one of my main concerns nowadays. I have also seen that truanting has been really bad this year, with quite a few of my lessons being interrupted and a few cases where the teachers have subtly locked their doors as to prevent further disruption. It's at this stage where I'm glad to be leaving the school after our exams, and I wish our current headmaster the best with dealing with the school's issues.

My child has flourished as she has been able to use the Zen Den to help support her mental health. Please why would you take this facility away from any student that struggles with mental health. Disgusting!

The academics at Heathfield Community School are below average. The school's grade point average is lower than the national average. This means that the performance of the school's students is below the national average. Plus, a smaller number of students at Heathfield achieve high SAT scores than in other areas of the country. This situation is due to several factors, such as less financial resources and higher rates of absenteeism. Even so, some parents still send their children to Heathfield for various reasons. They think that their children will get a better education here than elsewhere.
Many students at Heathfield are known for misbehaving and annoying other students. They do this to get attention from their teachers and peers. This behavior is considered bullying when done by one student against another. Students at Heathfield also bully each other by spreading nasty rumors about each other. Some parents believe that bullying has gotten worse at Heathfield since the school has fewer resources to prevent it. This includes fewer trained staff members and fewer behavioral specialists on hand daily.
Parents were very unhappy with the school's progress when they met with it last year. They said that many of their children were failing in most subjects and needed additional help in order to pass tests and assignments. The school's management responded by hiring more teachers and paying them more money. They also increased the school's budget for supplies and food for hungry students. Even so, many parents claimed that their children still weren't doing well in class after these measures were taken. It looks like Heathfield Community School needs to make some major changes if it wants to improve its performance!
The school does not care about Mental Health.
In Year 10, we had an assembly about how they care about mental health. Next day, they take away the Zen Den. What is going on!!!

Computer Science is fantastic, not rivalled by any other school.
The learning curriculum is incredible, and I already feel prepared for life after school.
Not to mention the amazing teacher who keeps us going through the thick and thin.
