Harris Girls Academy Bromley

went to this school, countless times had been let down, i got told i’d fail my gcses yet when i got to college i done them within a month. this school does not care about your mental health, they tell you to suck it up and carry on for the whole day. i had dyed my hair after not coming into school for months, they had finally managed to make me come into school.. and what do they do? make me go in isolation for a whole week. !!! wtf and then made me dye it back. that didn’t make me want to go back or feel welcomed. the amount of girls sniggering as me and my friends walked around, calling us homophobic slurs and my friends racial ones! this school doesn’t know how to handle so many teenage girls. let alone how to support them. i fully believe if i had stayed on at that school it would have and did drive me to mental health crisis. the teachers are moody and rude, only care about education and getting your homework on time. they even shut off all the toilets once for a whole week because there were writings on the walls and people were supposedly vaping. and we had 5 mins to get from one class to another. because of most toilets being blocked off it would take us all so much longer. and then we’d get detentions and cme after school. ridiculous school, hope someone takes over as headmaster and creates a healthy environment for students and a safe space for many to come. one last thing. if you have add, adhd, asd. do not come here. any learning disability or mental health condition. just don’t! they don’t know how to support or handle it, and the girls are so mean and pick on the weird kids as most schools have but harris never did a thing. we’d have to write “statements” like in a police cell and if we did many would know who snitched and then hurtful words would be said. they have “counsellors” who do not help and just want your attendance to be amazing and perfect for their ofsted reports. we all noticed as our terrible teachers told us they had a surprise visit on that day from an ofsted reporter and we had to be on our best behaviour! once that reorter came into the classroom we all saw the change, the immediate smiley faces and attention given to each student. without the reporter students would be sitting there looking at their work and doing nothing if they were overwhelmed as such and the teachers would leave them be. wouldn’t try and encourage them or ask what’s wrong. they’d assume they’re being rude and not doing work and send them out of class. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL!!!!! TERRIBLE. i nearly lost my life many times from not having the support i needed and an actual school that helped and cared. (btw it tells a lot about the school if students constantly bring vapes, alcohol, blades and possibly drugs as we smelt weed often into the school and never got caught. i always wondered if i gave my friend my uniform they’d easily get in.) oh and the outside area is small, not allowed to walk in the school when you’re at break and there was about 300 students at break and such a small area. food was terrible, always gross but that’s just british free meals!

The school was ok.. was getting on with my work made friends some teachers were nice. Head teacher don't care!!! Wanted to go six form had a meeting with mr rigby saying wanted to go six form he didnt explain that if i get one grade down thats gonna be a no no ... my predictions was high so was not worried .. and results day came ??because had one grade down was not excepted. On the day of results didn't get .. in NO support was upset that no teachers help me. Mr rigby walking around like catwalk show. Was very disappointed how they managed results day. Was 😡 upsetting how harris academy bromley school just didn't care to help me. Walking home thinking what now!!

DONT NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM! ESPESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE A PERSON OF COLOUR!

I am a Black student at this school and they have some really racist and hypocritical rules. 2 months ago, I got 2 rows of coloured braids and the rest was black,i got screamed at by the headteacher Mr Samuel Rigby to go into isolation however the WHITE students at the school don't experience this punishment . I have a white friend who dyed their WHOLE head RED and she got a week to remove it without any consequences. If you think this is bad wait until you here that I have yet another friend who dyed their WHOLE hair BRIGHT BRIGHT RED and she got in absolute no trouble - no warning, no isolation, NOTHING. and guess what? she just happens to be WHITE. when my black friend had a minium 6 red braids she also got told to go isolation. This is clearly racism and inequality. WE NEED JUSTICE.
This school talks about inequality and racism so much but the teachers are the racist ones? make it make sense..

I go to Harris girls Bromely I have been in it for 3 years and so far i have found it vey appalling. at a point in year seven there was used pads on the floor . the play ground is unkept and the teacher are disorganised, disrespectful of boundaries student want to keep. they handle "homophobic" issues more seriously the actual racial issues in the school and under appreciate student values when it means that the teachers are wrong
