I am sorry to say that this school, while it has good qualities, has been going down hill since Mr Parker has taken on the roll of headteacher. The recent ban on mobile phones, while understandable, has been handled very poorly. It is fine to ban the use of them in schools to prevent anti social behaviour the ban on them entering the school and the fact that the school has been searching peoples bags is completely unacceptable. Another completely unacceptable part of this schooling system is the detention system. There is no way to avoid detentions in this new plan. A few examples include: littering is a 30 minute after school, non-black shoes are a 30 minute after school and 1 late is 30 minutes detention. An example of this happening is with a boy, who will remain nameless, was given a 30 minutes after school for having white souls on almost full black shoes. Now, you must understand, this was a smart and kind boy who had never done anything wrong but for doing something by accident that should have been prevent by the school on entry was given a detention. Overall, this school definitely has been on a constant fall and would never in its current position earn the outstanding rank.
