I got manipulated here and the person that did took some money from me. But i found some really great friends and teachers here so that balances it out.
The PLC could be better but I'd like to thank the teachers in there for their hard work. well most of them at least.
As for the mainstream I've had had fun. And got a lot of work done too.
I'm going to leave here in a few months and I'd thought id leave my mark here.
One more thing: there ain't too many bullies here, you just got to make a name for yourself.
This school is responsible for a lot of trauma that has permeated into my late-twenties. The belligerent attitudes of teachers towards students who believe shouting is the way to reinforce power structures, the lack of concern for mental health, and indifference towards my experiences of being bullied within the context of being a gay student at the time. The SENCO department, equally, I felt punished me for having a learning difficulty as opposed to fostering an environment in which I could excel. I did excel, eventually, but the scars from this horrid school still haven’t healed. Do not recommend at all for a child’s peace of mind.
