Horrible experience, bad teachers with a terrible policy based around bullying students into submission. I had to endure slander on a daily basis by an obnoxious head teacher saying very inappropriate things about my nationality (being Irish). Staff room was filled with bitter teachers (bar a few) who seemed to like to brag about the prestigious tag on the school rather than their own teaching performance. I worked in hundreds of schools while living in London but this ranks as the worst... coming from the top down. Avoid
kids are treated like crap they bully kids so much so seen kids crying. One teacher stands out a bald headed who just seems to find it great fun to make children cry by screaming in the face. I think he must have been in the army. Or he gets a kick out of making kids cry . Somewhat worrying.
If I could give ZERO stars to this excuse of a school I really would!! The exams officer in this school has consistently demonstrated a lack of professionalism and basic courtesy towards me. Every time I encounter them, they refuse to even acknowledge my presence, let alone greet me with a simple hello. Furthermore, I have noticed that this staff member has a tendency to undermine me when I am completing even the most simple of tasks. This behaviour is unacceptable and has left me feeling disrespected and undervalued.
I would not advise anyone to work at or send their children to this school unless they are prepared to endure a consistently horrible working and learning environment.
There are plenty of schools out there that prioritise respect for every member of the school community, whether they are students or staff. If you are looking for a positive and supportive environment for your children or to work at I would recommend exploring other options.
Are all schools as bad as this or is it just me ???
1986-1991 ...WHAT A NIGHTMARE !! Contributed highly to my mental health crumbling . Too strict , only a few good teachers . Did not enjoy the experience to put it lightly . AVOID THIS SCHOOL ! School is supposed to be the best years off your life , atleast to be enjoyed ....this was like a prison. AS soon as i left this place i started to enjoy life and excelled in my subject . IT was like a punishment for something I hadn't done . Might be a good school now regarding grades but certainly wasn't years ago .
Awful school. They don’t care about your mental health at all and neither do they care about improvement of the school as a whole. There is no student council because when they tried making it and students were giving feedback, they scrapped the whole idea as nobody wanted to hear criticism and change.
They boast great grades but they kick struggling students and send them to college instead of actually having sessions to work on bettering their grades.
The homework load is far too much and even though I have commented on this in a survey they gave out which they insisted would take very seriously, again there have been no improvements or even slight changes. I don’t have time to study and do homework in the evening because I have other responsibilities which I also have stated many students could have. Starting sixth form was rough because they stress completing the homework on time instead of putting more emphasis on the importance of self study.
There are a few great teachers here, but there are also many teachers who don’t really focus on struggling students and prefer to spend more time on students already doing well.
If I knew how unhappy I was going to be in this school I never would’ve come here.
