There is a video circulating on social media of a student having her hijab violently ripped off for supporting the oppressed people of Palestine. The student was violently attacked BY A MOTHER of another student - someone who is supposed to safeguard minors and be a responsible adult. Is this really what Greenford high school is about ? Allowing their students to be assaulted in a racially motivated attack ? Are our children even safe anymore? That woman should be facing charges for assaulting a minor and teaching her daughter that it is OK to do so to other races. If Greenford high school doesn't so anything then they are condoning violence and racial injustices.
Some teachers don't respect students at all and expxics it personally i have had a friend compain to me as she was oh her thingy and had Pe next lesson so got changed. In the bath rooms there was blood on her trousers and she said that she offered to show the teacher and they (a female) made her got changed into her bloody clovers then she was later apologise to by a different member of staff but was still told she hasn't done the right thing there for I believe it was not a sinsir 1 or was it by the right person a sperot problem with this sch as there is cares in the female bathrooms not the cudicals but still
This school is good however they need to get some of their priorities straight. The food here is absolutely disgusting, for high schoolers, and people who eat halal have it worst as they only serve halal food on certain days?..And when they do make halal food they make the bare minimum and so not everyone eating halal is getting lunch. Plus people who eat non halal eat the halal food which makes the food run out faster and greenford high school has a lot of kids. However i’m pretty sure the school is good with Free School Meals receiving basic lunch food like a cheese sandwich, fruit and a drink.
Furthermore, this school has a really bad medical staff (only 1 person) who’s quite rude and tends to show favouritism to certain students and i’ve received some racist comments from them. The medical room is not equipped at all for literally anything: no pads, no tampons, no heating pads. Literally nothing. All there is a thermometer. You could literally be in excruciating pain and none of the female staff would sympathise with you and not allow you to call home to ask for a pad or something and you’d get your phone confiscated. Medical staff is not attentive (you can find them smoking a fag out back). But I do have to say when other staff get involved they do so efficiently when calling an ambulance for example.
This school also has an issue with fights. A lot of physical and verbal fights happen in this school often. Some teachers don’t know how to punish efficiently as if you got into a fight you’d get sent to your head of year then a phone call home however, if you wear makeup you’d get sent to your head of year, a phone call home, behavioural point and an isolation day. Girls tend to experience this a lot, gaining behavioural points for silly things when actually they’re really good in school..I’ve also witnessed double standards in which when the girls used to dye their hair they’d receive detentions and teachers would be on their case. However when boys constantly dye their hair, all of a sudden it is not an issue and it is overlooked.
This school is actually quite poor as a lot of the departments can’t print out work in the staff room as theirs no ink and ink is too expensive so they tend to make students copy and write out from the board as they can’t afford printer ink. Also, the school lacks equipment such as glue sticks, markers, pens and rulers. I suggest anyone who comes to this school to be prepared with stationery as some teachers are really strict on this..Also i’m pretty sure there’s unequal department funding as whoever does sport constantly receives opportunities to attend tournaments whereas a lot of the end of year trips was cancelled due to insufficient funds.
This school I guess does a good job in targeting bullying but the students at this school tend to be quite homophobic (not everyone but majority) and homosexual kids are targeted a lot for bullying. This school does absolutely NOTHING when it comes to raising awareness towards sexual assault in school which is such a disaster as a lot of students may have or had such experiences. Never in my life have I seen this topic being spoken about in school, assembly’s, form time and so on.
This schools toilet is absolutely DISGUSTING. The hygiene is so poor. There’s barely any tissue rolls and half of the locks on doors for the toilet stalls don’t work or there would literally be no doors on some.
Okay now onto the good stuff lol.. I have made some amazing friends here and the teachers are so nice and caring. The teachers create a comfortable environment to express your issues or problems you’re facing with to them. This school provides a variety of subjects to study from. The staff do really push you to do your best and this school has some amazing qualified teachers who will guarantee to improve your grades if you put in the same work back. This school is really diverse with a lot of different cultures, ethnicity’s and religions attending. This school provides a Friday prayer room for all muslim students to attend if they wish to do so which is really good. This school also provides a guidance counsellor which is helpful. Overall, this school does have some issues but I like this school. The core education/learning i’ve received is really good.
