Happy to take your money, not so happy to take your child.
We have two young children and have required pre-school care to enable us to continue as working parents. Goslings give the impression that they are under no obligation to provide the service you are paying them for, in fact - they almost make it a hobby to come up with new rules (none of which are clearly defined on their website) regarding admission.
Our first child attended pre-covid and we were generally satisfied with the service provided. There was the odd occurrence where the nursery was closed due to incidents like the boiler breaking down - but nothing major. However, when we started sending our second child, things became farcical. They would call at anytime during the day and demand our son was collected due to something they didn't like regardless of whether you were at work or not. They still operate strict covid conditions and even in 2022 when society as a whole has lifted virtually all restrictions and workplaces no longer offered any flexibility with working arrangements - they ask you to provide test results from government provided services which no longer exist. Of course, we raised this - but this culture emanates from the top and is unwavering.
The final straw was when we attempted a morning drop-off and as a courtesy, mentioned we had put olbas oil on our sons t-shirt overnight as he had been slightly nasal (but was now fine) - we were rejected and initially told he could now not attend for 3-days. We then completed a covid test upon request (on the same day) and it came back negative - Goslings still stated we would not be able to attend for 3-days. This situation was no longer acceptable and we rightly changed nurseries (had to pay 4-weeks notice at Goslings).
Ultimately, if you need a reliable service for daily childcare - in our experience we recommend you do not use Goslings.
