It's so bad don't send your kids there the amount of abuse that goes on in school is terrible I'm begging you don't send your kids to that terrible school
Well. I’m finally reviewing this-.. haha-
So i was here from year 7 to.. 9? Can’t remember much.
I was bullied. BADLY. Even almost pushed down the stairs outside by someone in my form.
The teacher did try their best but.. yea i was taken out and left with trauma- i don’t remember much-
In 2020, I was unlawfully kicked out of this place after going here for 4 years! (A quarter of my life!)
At this school, I experienced years of issues including physical assault, racist comments and many other problems that were never properly delt with by staff.
One time, I was involved in an issue where I was assaulted in the corridor by two students and forced to defend myself.
The situation turned into a fight and when the fight ended, the two students that started it all simply walked off as Ian Travis (Headteacher) said to me that he will have to find somewhere else for me to go.
I was treated so harshly even in small situations. I remember taking a picture with a friend in an earlier situation, getting into trouble and having a teacher inappropriately freely searching my phone with me obviously going to be afraid of getting into trouble if I didn't let them.
Even though many of the staff (including the old deputy head) never had an issue with students taking pictures with friends.
I regret not fighting for my human rights and privacy in that moment. Note: This was before phones were banned and we had to keep them in our bags.
There were many other problems in this school. I was attacked multiple times by a female student that had issues and continously was taking it out on other students. I came home with scratches and cuts from her nails on my face before being accused of being the bully.
The same girl was also aggressive to other students in the school and was always getting away with things. Teachers always treated her as the victim.
My science teacher was the only member of staff to deal with these of issues.
I started getting upset as I was only faced with continuous problems and unfairness. They started blaming these issues on family situations that didn't even exist. They were basically saying I was having issues and acting that way because I do not live with my parents.
That's a very misleading stereotype that is always aimed towards people like me and is very damaging.
They were attempting to refer me to counselling and everything.
They were trying to make out like I was upset about my family and playing up in school.
Many staff have interestingly left the school and this clearly shows a lot about how this school is being given up on. Also a widely popular art teacher that everyone was ok with worked at this place for 19 years and left after having a disagreement with the head teacher.
I got into serious trouble for helping share a complaint made by people on social media about CCTV cameras in inappropriate locations inside the school.
All of the issues where I was wrongly blamed for things was used against me when I was accused of fighting and bullying the people who were described as the most vulnerable students on the exclusion letter.
Before the exclusion, an incident that involved me happened online where I got into trouble for making a joke that wasn't even hurtful or offensive.
I was just joking and wasn't bullying and never meant to cause issues.
Of course I was accused of online bullying and punished for this. Even though the situation wasn't even in school, they constantly tried to unnecessarily take my phone away from me with little or no proper reason and immediately excluded me for bringing it into school after. They obviously used this as and excuse to exclude me.
When I received a "fixed-term" exclusion,
Ian Travis made false accusations on the letter. The letter said I was aggressive and hostile and refusing to go to lessons. The issues that I mentioned above were also used against me and they continued to accuse me of bullying, fighting and other serious things.
At no point was I aggressive or hostile, because I wasn't even showing the most basic signs of anger. They were accusing me of stuff they know I haven't done and exaggerated the fairly minor stuff that I was responsible for in past.
They literally built a case against me.
After the exclusion, they refused to let me back into the school. They continued to keep me out after weeks and weeks.
All of a sudden, they enclosed a behavioral contract with a large amount of unnecessary terms and conditions, including many random stuff that didn't even make any sense. It's hard to believe, but they even went to the legnths of getting students that they knew I had issues with and got them to screenshot and show them images of where I was complaining about the school on social media.
I also got into trouble for sharing video and screenshot evidence of where I was being bullied or harassed and the school would not do s**t.
This was directly before I was permanently excluded.
The law does not allow for extending a fixed-period exclusion to a permanent exclusion. It's a fact that after a fixed term-exclusion, they must let you back into school after the end date of the exclusion. But when I was unnecessarily excluded, they wouldn't let me back in and using anything that they could to build a case against me before unlawfully kicking me out from school.
A while later I received a social worker report that said my attendance was only 60% (also not true as I have 2017-2020 school reports that have my 100% attendance recorded) described me as bullying to vulnerable people and "extremely aggressive" and "hostile" to school staff.
It's a requirement that a person has to be offered full-time education after leaving a school and this is what the local authority failed to do in so many ways.
After I was kicked out, I wasn't even put in another school to learn and do my GCSE exams. Because I'm labled as special needs, I was automatically dumped into a small placement and couldn't even finish year 11 at a normal school and do my GCSEs.
This caused lots damage in my life and I no longer speak to my family.
The best advice I can give is to stay as far away from this school as possible!
I've learned that issues like racism (and other forms of discrimination) and physical assault are acceptable. I've learned that "headteachers" can get away with turning unnecessary fixed-term exclusions into unlawful permanent exclusions.
FALSE CLAIMS AND DISCRIMINATION
STUDENTS AND FORMER STUDENTS HAVE EXPERIENCED RACISM AND OTHER SEVERE PROBLEMS IN THIS PLACE!
STAFF HAVE BEEN MAKING FALSE CLAIMS TO JUSTIFY PERMANENTLY EXCLUDING STUDENTS FOR DEFENDING THEMSELVES IN BOTH INTENSE PHISICAL SITUATIONS AND VERBAL SITUATIONS!
This school was terrible idk how they got 3 outstandings. Most of the teachers were rude and a couple of them were nice and 98% of the students were rude as well and treated everyone horribly and the school barely did anything about it. Don’t send your kids here if you want them to have good mental health because I went to that school for 5 years and I was mentally and physically depressed during my time going there. 🙄😡
Meh. I don't understand how they have 3 outstandings in a row. I gained some trust issues from there and trauma. Teachers were rude, some were kind. Didn't teach us everything we needed for gcses as they didn't have high expectations for us. Barely anyone passed. The students were also rude and when someone would be getting harrased, they wouldn't do much.

I didn’t like some of the teachers because they were harsh.
