This school is okay, metal health means little to them, i had experiences with bullying for months, i had weeks of writing statements and complaining to the teachers. They eventually helped me but it did take an amount of time for them to realise what was happening, The teaching and the students. The teachers are okay, some of them needs to be taught more on how to control classes, some of them have a really poor attitude ,when they are rude to you and you snap back its not okay, but their “teachers” so its okay. If you have gone downhill in behaviour (students pov) they dont pay attention to why your acting like it, they dont talk to you about it, they just think your a “naughty person” which is half the time because of family problems or friendships problems, mental health and mainly because they dont care. The students, there are quite of an amount of naughty pupils there, a little percentage of them are horrible, there is lots of fights at that school, they mainly care about attitude, behaviour, punctuality, uniform. But overall, i think this is a bad school. They also tell you to be “good” when ofsted come, you shouldn't be forced to hide your real self, when you look at the ofsted reviews, they are mainly good, which is not the case.
All the bullies from south avenue primary school go here and are going here 2024!! Avoid! They will make your life a misery. It’s a shame it’s a really nice high school but the feeder school is full off people from the bottom of society
School let down pupils taking GCSES in covid . Not all Curriculum was taught , just left to get on with it .
Predicated grades were way lower than expected and many pupils lost out on 6th form places as grades were shockingly low.
No extra support for pupils struggling.
No mental health support, which was needed .
And a stand in “teacher”was teaching core subjects , who had just left school with no teaching experience whatsoever. Her mother and grandfather worked at the school, say no more .
Hi coming from a current student here, leaving soon though, honestly is a great school my entire time there has been a pleasure they care about mental and physical health
Most of the teachers are really nice and incredibly helpful, good sen and heads of houses are great. Classes can be a bit rowdy with those that misbehave but that’s at every school, except a fulston teachers actually handle it well, also if you’re wondering the food is actually really good
And there are also so many resources they give especially when it comes to GCSEs
I honestly cannot say enough nice things about the school I even plan to apply to the sixth form to continue at fulston, so if you’re thinking of sending your child here please do support is amazing good learning environment and care
