Forres Academy

I work here and I feel so sorry for the pupils. The school is in shambles, the upper floor is locked off and over 1000 pupils are crammed into the small ground floor area. Teachers and staff have no where to go when they aren't teaching. Pupils with additional needs have no where to go when they need to be alone. All the staff are extremely stressed out and don't hide it for the pupils instead they vent to them. The pupils get very little support and the ones who try their best get no reward, the ones who disrupt classes get to go out on trips and cause no end of noise in the corridors. I'm so sorry guys you deserve better and you should speak to your parent/guardian about transferring out. There is no future in this school for the next 4 years until a new building is provided.

Most of the teachers r fine but Mrs Daley is a rollercoaster one sec she would be fine the other she would be fumming like this one time it was activity day and I got in her class last period I needed the bathroom (the bathroom I go to doesn't open on lunch or breaks) and I asked she called the bloody SLT on me 💀 I still got to go the bathroom. Speaking of bathrooms when I walked into the girls bathroom there was pads on the wall and a girls name saying she was a bitch which is normal it's either bloody pads on the wall or the ceiling or even in the sink

I can only say that three departments care about learning, and miss hind. Most teachers gave up trying to teach a while ago or try and fail, the school has a shortage of teachers and have left many classes without a teacher for up to two years, i think it’s funny that I’m using autocorrect because I have not learnt anything in English for about 2 years. The boys toilets sound rubbish and it’s unfair on the boys that they do not have a hygienic place to use the toilet, the amount of people that skip classes is probably higher than those who do go to classes, and even then we don’t learn anything in classes so it’s understandable that they don’t go. The amount of illegal behaviour that happens in this school is actually gross, the Police don’t need helped going around the school anymore, they come quite regularly, the cafeteria and social area are disgusting, many unknown substances flying around the room, on the walls, on the floor, I feel bad for the janitors. The car park gets so icy in winter that it is a hazard to get to the bus, also the busses can be late often (which is understandable) but then the people on the bus get told off for being late. The PSE teachers only seem to care about skivers, if you at bullied there is honestly no point in reporting it

This place sucks, the rules aren't enforced enough, resulting in bullying, drug usage, and alcohol consumption being high. The teachers are awful, nothing else needs saying. The food is the best bit about it.

The place is badly maintained, there is a shortage of teachers and insufficient supplies of workbooks and any other tools we may need. The plumbing is awful, the toilets are ruined, half of the girls ones don’t have a lock and you can’t wash your hands properly. Bullying or any personal issues you may have are swept under the rug and ignored by all staff leading to a deterioration in our mental health. When you get to senior phase your guidance teachers have no knowledge and don’t help with subject choice- their best advice being search up ‘My world of work’ and there have been no chances to gain work experience. A heavy portion of the students smoke and do weed, LSD, meth and various other substances on school grounds without any consequence. Would not recommend. You’re in for a rough one and the bad reputation makes you look less appealing when it comes to applying for further education
