parents please don’t send your children here.I’m a student here right now and when I began my mental health was completely ruined by the environment (and still is). They say they care but they only care about our attendance and the money going into their pockets.there’s a pe teacher here (who i wont name) but she says the cruelest things to the kids and shouts for every little reason,she also hates me. She has called many kids disgraces and disgusting.Music is my only escape from this hell on earth place called etone college.My mum has had meeting with the school on my mental health and they have done nothing but make it worse.They don’t listen.No one listens to you. If ofsted came and talked to all the children, they would close the school down for their behaviour. We have cameras in the bathrooms and no doors on the bathrooms. There is a science teacher known for looking up girls skirts and making them bend over. I can’t feel safe in that school or wearing the uniform. They feel as if they have more control over you and your body instead of parents. I’m struggling here so much and they don’t care,they ignore me like they do everyone else.They only prioritise the popular people who are so rude to everyone else just because they can get away with it. Please do not send your kid/kids here. If you wouldn’t go here, would you want your kids to? Do you want your kids to go through this pain and suffering I am? I didn’t think so.

Im a student here currently,and when I tell you please do not send your child here I really mean it. They say they care about you and your mental health but they only care about your attendance and the money that goes into their pockets from us. I struggle with mental health and my parent has told the school numerous times but they don’t care,they tell my mother they will help but they don’t.they make it worse.there’s a pe teacher there to who i will not Name who will shout the cruelest things at ur kids “your a disgrace” is one of them.i personally don’t see any parent wanting their child in that environment.and if you do,shame on you. This school has made my mental health so bad in a way i can not begin to describe.the only good thing about this school is leaving it.I’m counting down the days until I can as i can no longer bare being here surrounded by teachers who ignore u or just shout at you.They have cameras in the toilets, they’re not pointing in the stalls but it’s still weird. We also don’t have a door on the bathroom and we’re constantly guarded.Ofsted need to come back and ask the students,all of them about their experience with no teachers present and they will then realise how this school messes you up. I feel sick and shaky every time I enter the school or thinking about it

This school is a bad environment mentally and physically, you just feel like you’re trapped inside of a prison cell and can’t escape , me and my friends mental health was so much better before going to this school, after we joined our mental health has completely deteriorated and the school says “they care” and that “they help” until it affects our attendance and makes them lose money. I can’t Even count how many times I’ve prayed to be removed from the school.they have cameras in the bathrooms and none of the teachers are helpful , maybe only one or 2 but that’s about all and we are so overloaded with homework and treated like robots and getting shouted at when we don’t understand something.
this school is ridiculous.
this school is terrible . let’s start off with the teachers . there’s only around 1-2 teachers that are actually nice to you and care for you. all of the other don’t care at all . next, no matter how cold it is we’re not aloud inside or we get told to go outside/no matter how warm it is you must wear blazers and if you don’t bring your own one you have to wear one of the school ones wich clearly never get washed. the bathrooms have a camera inside and most toilets don’t lock/flush and never half toilet roll and always are dirty. you can get isolation for absolutely nothing . and if you have any jewellery they will take it off you and will probs be an isolation. they aren’t helpful at all and they say they care for your mental health and they will help if somethings wrong , but they never ever have. they don’t care about girls getting touched at all and they are very strict about everything. many people are coming out with anxiety and many things like that. and people who are failing and stressed never get put into interventions . there are so many assessments aswell. i don’t know how people can write good views about this school. they only care about attendance . they make more attendance assembly’s ect if someone misses a day they get so annoyed. and also on care about money. me and my friend ( no names ) our mental house was so much better b4 we can to this school. now we’re both begging for anything so we don’t have to go even just refusing . here i am writing more so today (march 6th 2023) the whole year 8 ( aka me ) was doing exams one of the exam people who was leading it shouted at a student “you can do it” when they don’t understand how we feel and how tricky it is. and i don’t know or think he did anything at all. even people in x band ( highest bands ) are struggling and skipping questions. if i send my kids here and they wanted to leave i would go in and have a argue and let them move schools . personally don’t take your kids here.

Etone college school review
This school is overall average. I have been here for about 2 years now and well there has been a lot of unfairness with disabled kids, a girl in my class (I will not state names) has adhd, and all of a sudden she is now at the top of the class better than others. Even said rude things to another boy to wind him up, does she get in trouble? No. But instead the boy did for 'making her angry'. This is pathetic and needs to be fixed, I refuse to stay in a school where they treat their students like this. Also, teachers pick favourites in the class and give them 'special treatment' I get it, they're good kids but does that really mean they need to be let out early or aloud to go to the toilets even without a pass? Teachers even have students they dislike, which yeah I have people I dislike but that doesn't mean I treat them unfairly. Another thing that needs to be spoken of is recognition of lgbtq+ students, we have learning for life lessons on it but there is no recognition. If they're wearing for example a trans pin (ftm) at least refer to them as a boy instead of still calling them a girl. And in groups when being split up "boys against girls" that makes no sense, what about non binary people? Where are they gonna go, to the side? It's absolutely ridiculous. Overall the education here is pretty good but the way they treat the students is disgusting.
My experience in etone 2016-2021
I finished etone college in the year 2021, some of the teachers there are nice and by that I mean a few, the heads of houses are nice except for my own house - dragon. As soon as an incident occurs and your reputation as a good student disappears they treat you like you’re the worse person ever. Even when the issue has been resolved they still hold that passive aggressive grudge against you. All drama that happened between me and my friends, the school would also make it seem like the end of the world and would put it together in a room in order to resolve it, which would make it worse. I’ve literally cried in front of teachers because they’ve yelled at me, and I’ve seen the way they’ve treated my friends. You’ll only enjoy etone if you’re smart asf, or really into sports, if you’re into anything else they do not care. They even got rid of the music and drama department - drama and music were so fun. I feel sorry for all the people who still go there because this school literally puts their reputation over their students mental health state. Glad I’m done with this hell hole, and why is it called etone college if it’s a secondary school that always confused me.
My time at etone
Got bullied by the depty head teacher for 4 years. Used to lock me in her office and threaten me. She ended up getting fired after the school had 100million complaints from my mom. After she left it wasn’t so bad. Fights constantly happened so did bullying education wasn’t that great teachers tended to give up on you real quick and if you felt down they didn’t do much to help. About 4-5 amazing teachers that helped me through my years and made it worth it and I will always Remeber them. It’s an alright school just try your best and wouldn’t personally recommend :)

Etone college is bad
I'm a student at Etone college who got yelled at and called disgusting and vile by a head of house. That same head of house also screamed at my friend telling her to apologise for having a seizure. The school also doesnt keep stuff you say private. I said something to them about how my social workers affect me and they told them after I stated not too. I know numerous people who have tried to overdose due to the school and how they are treated. Head of houses can also be disrespectful and rude and then expect you to just accept it when in fact respect goes both ways. I do not reccomend this school at all and if I have children in the future they definitely will not go this school.
Good, Needs to treat trans students better
I'm dissapointed how they treat trans students. After coming out my friend was bullied until they didn't want to come to school anymore, and the teachers just ignored it. Even after that I noticed one of the teachers making fun of them behind their back. Also, The teachers still won't acknowledge that they are trans and call them by the old gender :/ it's 2021 I think schools should be accepting of everyone. Other than that, it's a good school acidemically and there's a lot of trips + activities that you might like. I'll probably send my future kids there
