the school is full of teachers who cannot seem to listen to the student's point of view and are highly disrespectful towards the outspoken students (emphasizing highly) even when the pupil is not being rude or "talking back". 80 percent of the time teachers are stuck on their own opinions and act overly entitled simply because they can and nothing is being done about it. Classes are uneasy, students are usually out of it due to their hatred towards the school and having lost most respect for the teachers meaning most motivation is lost for learning. The last point I can think of is that communication is awful and selective, for example, if your child has done something unacceptable they will be quick to phone multiple times but if you are phoning to try and fix the "unacceptable behavior" and they agree to put things in place to help, the school will often not answer the phone or things will not be followed through either at all or on the date it was supposed to be (i am speaking from experience so not all experiences with ellowes hall will be the same).
Good school, though there are a handful of mean teachers, the French Department and the Assistant Head (who teaches geography) are very nice, toilets are good
The school closes with your learning needs and MOST of the teachers are nice. You do many subjects that other schools don't do like Food, Drama and Dance. They also have a swimming pool
Ellowes hall got no respect for the kids that are being bullied
Taken my daughter out this term
Many times I rang last term through bullying .thought been sorted till I found out more last week .
My grandaughter has been away from school for 5 months and was agreed to taker her back this morning at 9.15. She was there and greeted by a teacher who swore. Taken to a class and gold to paint by numbers. She wanted to do art/science/and other scholarly subjects but denied. Why???? The she was out in was for children who will not learn.

What us the matter with education systems??
the school is absolutely rubbish when helping with a child's poor mental health, I struggle with severe anxiety, and the most they did for me was let me sit with a teacher. teachers have no respect for the pupils whatsoever and will speak to them how their mates would, which is unprofessional.
To be straightforward, the school is full of unintelligent pupils: mostly thanks to teachers who have no idea what they're doing. The code of conduct is never enforced, meaning most classes are loud and impossible to learn in.
Even the staff in management are completely negligent; almost any complaint will be left unresolved. The school is full of cameras and yet none of the students are monitored.
I was so far behind in my classes but had no assistance in catching up - simply being left to give up - I stopped doing homework indefinitely, and without consequence.
Basically if you couldn't give a hoot less about educating your child then I recommend throwing them into this cesspool. On the bright side maybe they'll learn to smoke or get pregnant at 16.
Used to be great, suddenly dive-bombed when ** ****** took over. Teachers are too lenient when disciplining people and don’t take action to ensure learning isn’t disrupted - as it often was. Far too much focus on students who were doing well, rather than the students who were falling behind. By no means should Ellowes market itself as a ‘sports college’, simply having a sports hall should not qualify it as one, considering the extent of boys sports was football, cross country and handball. School also needs desperate renovations.
