Get me out of this hell hole

I've been going to this school for a few years now I've never been more miserable. Some teachers are okay but most of them don't really care especially my science teacher, most people will know who I'm talking about because everyone in my class hates him too, and all of the students are disrespectful nd just so rude tbh

Bullying

I was a student here and the teachers were the worst bullies. In my time at the school, teachers called students fat, made out that girls were “slags” just for having a boyfriend and were very homophobic. One teacher screamed in my girlfriends face because we were stood too close, meanwhile a straight couple were kissing next to us and not a word was said to them. I’ve heard of a lot of transphobia from the teachers too. They police students hair as if it makes any difference to their education. They don’t step in and do anything when students are bullying people because they just don’t care.

uncomfortable environment

i’m currently a student at this school. i can say that the education is good, however we do not get taught many life skills such as sexual health, debt and other topics which would help within the real world. i have also noticed how obsessed this school is with the way in which girls look (pointing out ridiculous things about skirts, makeup and natural look fake tan). the staff also seem to watch over us at break and dinner time to an excessive amount which makes many students feel uncomfortable. they also need to sort out how we aren’t allowed to go to the toilet at times, even if we have finished a set task. one girl was on her period and told the teacher this and the teacher still denied her the chance to go to the toilet. it is absolutely ridiculous and especially for people who have periods (something that is normal and we cannot control) and the fact they deny us of our human right is shocking.

horrible

just really bad, hated the experience. food was horrible, i was bullied throughout school and nothing got done. am also STILL waiting two year later for my appointment with the school councillor that was “necessary”. they focused on the kids that excelled. hardlys any of the laptops work.

Abit bad innit

Personally I believe that the way this school tackles bullying is extremely below average. There will be likely no course of action when a student reports their experiences with bullies. The most that happens is a fixed term exclusion at the end of the term and detentions. The teachers aren’t very understanding of their students privacy as teachers will be all around the school during breaks and lunches basically stalking what students do. Recently, the strictness on uniform has become extreme and a joke. Teachers are looking at students bodies every time they come off the bus and pulling people aside when they don’t have the correct type of shoes. I also believe that the obsession with girl’s skirts, jewellery, fake tan and acrylics is promoting misogyny as they are not this strict with the boys and they won’t allow girls to express themselves. Also, it’s very classist as they expect all students to meet the standard of uniform and appearance knowing how expensive the uniform is. It’s also very unrealistic as students aren’t allowed to wear jackets in class even despite the cold weather and students are expected to stand outside in the rain which would make people ill. At lunch times, students will be kicked out of their lunch areas because teachers want to have a nice chat and as i said before, teachers will invade students privacy during these lunch times.

problems

In my opinion, the way this school deals with bullying, harassment, homophobia, racism, transphobia etc is terrible. Also, most teachers aren’t understanding of students and are very judgmental, making students uncomfortable especially during dinner time while they are eating. Students feel as though they always being watched which can cause no comfort.

Bad school

They would rather use funding to pay 6 assistant heads than but functional equipment for students such as computers. The bathrooms are broken every week, the food is disgusting.

underfunded

It's an okay school, building is nice and most teachers are great but it's the students that are the problem, there's so much bullying, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobic, antisemitism and sexual harassment that the school just does not deal with at all. the school is also massively underfunded, there's pretty much 0 school trips, most of the laptops don't even work and there's a very limited choice of gsce options.

Bad school

The schools take on handling bullying, homophobia, racism and sexual assault claims is horrible. The bathrooms are almost always broken. They focus their money on paying and supporting multiple unnecessary assistant heads rather than functioning computers that are needed for students education.
