Dyce Academy

I’ve been living in Dyce since all I could remember. The primary school was okay, the nursery was great. But this. This school ruins it. Many cases of people threatening to or assaulting other people and don’t get me started on the changing room. Changing room for only one class sounds great. Maybe same year group but yeah, but when you add older people that will bully you. You just don’t want to be in there anymore. In fact if you are too poor or can’t get the PE uniform every time. You get punished for it even if it’s not your fault and you’re living in bad conditions. This school has a MAJOR bullying problem, they only like to address it once a term. They think they can stop the bullying but it just NEVER HAPPENS. If you go to guidance and say you’re being bullied by ___. Guidance will probably tell the bully you said that and they’ll hurt you more for snitching. The food is dry, the prices are through the roof, the place looks as though it could fall apart, gum under the tables it’s just a huge clutter. No wonder why many people drop out at S4.

This is from a year 3 pupil but the school system here is so bad they dont care how good you are at anything they will still but you in a bad set they say they put us there because it would be less crowded in the hallways but the hallways have NOTHING to do with how we learn. The school does nothing about bullying aswell and they dont let you out during class times in the toilet i have had to put a complaint in about on of my teachers and the person who i was complaning to has said this is not the first time shes had a complaint Dyce FIX THIS

one of the english teachers at dyce academy told two of the boys in my daughter's class that she wanted to hit them with belts, and made the boys read out their addresses to the whole class, she never lets children out to the toilet, or to get water when that is a basic human right, she always treats students unfairly and picks favorites in the classroom, which is highly inappropriate this teacher is miss leven.

This school sucks my child has been here for 2 years absolutely terrible bullying is a major problem they don't care about mental health and safety is terrible the school looks like a prison the food looks like it just came out of a dumpster teachers pick on students with ADHD or other disorders and think there a danger to society don't put your kid here they will have sucidal thoughts after 2-3 months trash education

They don't care about mental health, teachers are unsympathetic to personal circumstances, and the whole place is just an absolute dump. It looks and feels like a prison, and none of the students want to be there. Certain departments are better than others, such as Social Subjects and Music, but in general departments don't have enough funding, and the teachers don't care whatsoever about their students. Once you're pinned as a "bad kid" that reputation sticks the rest of your school career, and teachers won't bother with you anymore. Bullying and harassment isn't ever dealt with in a meaningful way. The food's about standard for any school.
