wouldn’t ever put my child in this school again

The receptionist staff cannot do their jobs whatsoever. One of the staff members in reception approached me with nothing but bad manners bad attitude and on a very aggressive approach and obviously they stick together and make out like it’s the parents fault to the point where they’re blaming and saying I was threatening them They are embarrassing. I hate this girl. Cannot wait for my child to leave.

Poor school which does not meet upto expectation

Reading the reviews not only here but on mumsnet has cemented exactly what I thought about this school. The teachers at that school think it is ok to speak down to the students. No wonder there is all sorts of problems from vaping, fighting to bullying. I have also heard these rumours. I am not saying that all schools dont have issues, but it appears to be ongoing with this school. If the teachers were not so strict then they might get a better outcome from their students. They may need to reflect and look back at their approach on how they deal with problems in that school. If the teachers are being pressured to be strict. You can imagine what their daily working life could be like. Also to add, I have also heard that some teachers ignore certain students in their classes when they raise their hand to answer a question and these groups are the majority who always get a detention for pathetic reasons. Very telling indeed. Not what it is cracked up to be. All dressed up but it is in tatters

Didsbury high

Didsbury high school is a very good school and one of the best. Last year 89% got a 8 and 9 on there langue’s gcse. Which is so amazing and good, other than that the support that the school provides you is outstanding and just fantastic. This school will help your kid do amazing in there life and it’s a good place for your child.

All schools are the same no matter what. Don't believe the hype.

This school prides itself on being a good school but I'm not sure about that. There has been bullying, kids vaping during break time which has gone unnoticed by teachers. It's sad really as this is not a true representation of the school.

Avoid

Terrible. Search the school name over social media especially tiktok and it’s video after video talking about the students and the staff members, from spreading rumours about children to ‘rating’ children, children in year 7 so around 11 years old being rated for their looks by the rest of the school it is absolutely disgusting and I can’t imagine the affect on the children who are spoken negatively about (cyber bullying at its finest) Very rare to actually find a decent secondary school in Manchester and this one is not one of them. Students are also known to cause havoc in the community, bad representation of the school

Also recommend for this school to teach their pupils how much of a damaging affect bullying has otherwise there will be blood on their hands one day. Also online safety after searching their name and coming across pupils profiles they are putting themselves at a huge risk online. Absolutely terrible and sad to see. No idea where their parents are so in these cases it would be beneficial for the school to help these children stay safe in and out of school at least.
