the battle school derbymoor

It is awful school i have ever see it it isn't safe for children every day fighting always the police around the school very serious incidents daily happening at this school always the staff ignores the argument when they see it happening in front them until the argument goes bigger and many fighters groups around at this school but the school can't control them and ignore them. the staff always blaming parents and your children when you make a complaint.actually they don't have good plans to protect our children when we asked them they said we don't have enough staff to control it !!!!!!!!!! silly answer. if the school doesn't have enough staff why accept our children. if any want wants send your children to the battle front you can send your child for derby moor school.

They care about the wrong things

Draining, depressing, and overall a nasty place

Period blood, and gum everywhere. Rude slurs and violent language used often. Students are rude and those who are kind are bullied and drained of all energy and motivation.

School use students as labels, they say we are “diverse”. Nothing about us is diverse, the dress code is suffocating and ridiculous. On top of that uniform is expensive but yet they nit-pick everything about us.

It’s depressing how same we all are. People can’t wear anything against the code but yet teachers have been seen walking in high heels and tight, short clothing.

Been followed home and had abuse screamed at me by peers.
Punishments are unfair and excessive.

So glad to have left now!

Derby moor should not be recommended as a good school.

This is school has a very bad system called the c system and along with that a b system these have to help us in the future but they way they distribute the c's and b's is appaulling. Also hygiene is a problem as because the food there is eaither raw or overcooked. My next statement is the staff such as Principal the guy spends more time on his hair then the school but doesn't remind people to tuck their shirts and instantly tells them off as they told students about being warned along side this the vice principal has been sending rude email to parents about taking the day of because they are sick its the UK the weather isn't always going to be the same 😒. Finally, the safety of students they are unable to help the situation and don't check cctv as that is very useful in mamy circumstances and let the staff witness it half way through.
Thank you for listening I just ahd to put out there.

Awful school

The senior staff were unhelpful, my mental health was awful and they did very little to support me. Many teachers were very unhappy there as well

its. okay.

so i go to this school, ill be honest , not a big fan. most teachers just dont care about the students. most students only rebel because of how strict the rules are, giving students less freedom. one frequent issue is that you get behaviour points for not tucking your shirt in. which is a joke, because most teachers use that to their advantage every second of the day. i remember my teacher was like "finally i can tell you off, thats a b7 for untucked shirt." i get grounded for it constantly too, i dont see how being constantly 'posh' will help me in life but whatever floats their boat

It's very in the middle

It's a good school but the rules are very strict which is very restricting to students and doesn't really allow much independence, which is what secondary school is supposed to be expanding. I know some students can have difficulty behaving but that may also be because they were never shown how to handle their emotions or feel the need to rebel against the harsh rules and constant criticism.
Considering the food in school, it's VERY overpriced and not very tasty or nutritious. One slice of toast costs 20p which may not seem like a lot but a slice of toast with a spitup of butter after it has been sitting out for 15-20 minutes is definitely ridiculous to say the least.
Don't get me started on some of the teachers, especially certain (not all) teachers in the leadership teams definitely make the school a place students don't wish to go to. Students aren't spoken to with respect and are often treated as inferior and their thoughts, opinions and beliefs are often disregarded by those SLT staff members.
