Alhamdulilah so far 2 of my children have been at Dar il Madinah nursery and I alhamdulilah cannot fault them.
Both my children have thrived here from English knowledge to deen knowledge. The children not only picked up on duas and sunnahs but are able to implement them in their daily life as well as teach their cousins and other friends.
As a parent I am most grateful to sister Sofia and the rest of the staff who are so dedicated and loving towards the children. My children feel they are at a home away from home.
The nursery set up is great with a huge range of toys and resources. The phonics taught are excellent and my nursery child is reading books already alhamdulilah.
The trips the children are taken on are better than most government schools with a small fee to pay it is such an amazing experience for these little souls.
Lastly, the importance of our 5 pillars, ramadhan, eid, these are events our children enjoy the most and I am most grateful to the staff and the team for instilling such good values and principles which match our homes ones, in our children.
May Allah subhanawatala shower his blessings on you and your nursery sisters.
Darul Madinah School is more than just an educational institution; it is a home away from home where students are empowered to dream, discover, and succeed. I wholeheartedly recommend Darul Madinah to any parent seeking a school that prioritizes academic excellence, character development, and holistic growth. As a parent I feel welcomed and respected. It's like a big family where students, teachers, and parents all work together to help kids grow in every way. This friendly vibe isn't just about doing well in school; it's also about becoming better people and feeling connected spiritually.
I have had the privilege of being a Darul Madinah Nursery parent for several years now, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible experience they provide. My eldest, who is now 6, attended Darul Madinah, and the foundational Islamic education she received there has stayed with her strongly. She still remembers her duas before meals and follows sunnah actions such as eating with her right hand—habits instilled from her early years at the nursery.
My daughter, Fatima, has been attending since she was two and continues to thrive both academically and spiritually. It's truly heartwarming to see her flourish in an environment that balances educational rigor with Islamic values. The staff's dedication is evident in how they cater to the diverse needs of every child, making learning both fun and meaningful. From trips to the farm and London Zoo to observing chickens hatch in the nursery, the children gain a genuine appreciation for Allah's creations.
Darul Madinah also brings cultures together with events like Multicultural Day and invites professionals like firefighters and dentists to educate the kids, enriching their early learning experience.
As my son is set to join this coming September, my excitement and trust in Darul Madinah's commitment to excellence only grow. I highly recommend this nursery for any parent looking for a nurturing, Islamic environment for their children. May Allah bless the staff and management for their hard work and dedication to making Darul Madinah a remarkable success.
I have been rather reluctant to leave this review because I’d always want an Islamic institute to do well. Unfortunately, this establishment is unprofessional, unorganised and poorly structured. I’m extremely shocked how the Nursery has a good rating from OFSTED. They’ll be kids standing right at the front gate and they’ll give Salam to the one standing right at the end.
The were so many signs that my son showed me to suggest he was scared / uncomfortable at this school. Since he has moved he has grown in both confidence and speech. Allahumma Barik.
My son was a different child when he started here and then when he abruptly left.
They give their ‘opinions’ by saying there’s something ‘wrong’ with your child. But they can’t tell you what but they’ll make such claims.
My son started to have a lot of accidents here whereas at the beginning he used to go to the washroom fine. As soon as he started going here he was having wet pants every day. I suggested that maybe they can take him to the washroom every so often then he’d get the hang of it again at school. But they refused saying they don’t have the teachers to do this but I had already heard another parent tell them to do it for there child and they said that it was fine. As I wasn’t going to put a nappy on him at school and not at home as this would confuse him. One of the teachers even said when he arrived after 30 mins he needs a toilet. Is that really something to say???? Or they can’t take him because he needs a toilet after 30mins so allowing him to have accidents in the beginning.
This establishment is extremely unprofessional. They have teachers leaving very often. Constantly recruiting which shows the lack of continuity or ability to keep on good teachers. It took me 7 months to write this review because even today I’m still trying to get me head around the way they dealt with my son. My sons name at the time was due to be changed via deed poll. Every nursery he’s been to (different ones due to moving home) they haven’t had a problem with calling him a name that wasn’t on his birth certificate. A name that he hadn’t been called out loud ever. They blamed Slough Council and told me that Slough council told them not to. I know this is a lie because since then I have contacted slough council about. They don’t even finish singing the whole nursery rhyme before they jump to the next activity. As soon as they see you they’ll send the child out which emphasis the fact that there’s no routine or continuity in the sessions. There’s so real structure whatsoever.
The best thing I done was remove my child straight away. It was a blessing in disguise.
Take my advice and stay away from this nursery or school as a whole. They have no manners at all!!!!!!!!!! Please google their name and you’ll see other negative reviews (not on Google reviews). I wish I done this before.
We have two children at the place. They have a nursery and a reception on site. The reception staff are great and friendly. The nursery side is a little hit and miss. Our experience started off well but overtime it seems the service and quality from staff has gone down hill. Some staff are great but others are rude and not empathetic at all.
If your child has special education needs then I recommend you find somewhere else. We and a few other parents have had a bad experience with the nursery with regards to how our children were supported, how we were communicated with and how complaints were handled. Don't make a complaint or even raise a concern about how your child is generally looked after. If you do and they see you as problem parents they will suspend your child as a punishment. This is what happened to us.
There is a general lack of professionalism with some staff and sometimes it feels like they're making it up as they go along.
Some parents have even expressed concerns but are too afraid to challenge the nursery manager with the fear that their child's place might be at risk.
