Disgusting.

My experience is disgusting, the head teachers and pastoral are horrible to the students and quite frankly don’t care. I was recently opening up to a member of pastoral and they were on their phone whilst I was breaking down into tears and she seemed like she didn’t care or wanted to even be there, I also looked up at her and she seemed as if she was going to laugh!!! The way the pastoral and head teachers treat you when your struggling with school, mental health, friendships and other things is disgraceful considering you have the life’s of thousands of young people you’d think they’d at least try and care but they don’t the slightest. I personally think all the teachers want is a good reputation on the school and whilst doing so they’re not putting a single thought forward on students.

Awful.

This school is awful. The only students who get noticed are the naughty ones, nobody else is given the time of day. There are less teachers that care about students than there should be(should be all) and students are constantly harassed.

I broke my finger and I got told off and they refused to send me home so I had to write with that hand for the rest of the day in agony.

I go with one meal a day, every. single. day. I have no time for breakfast before school and I can’t get food at break or lunch unless I want to lose my whole break waiting in a line that there A) isn’t room for in the room and B) you are constantly physically hurt in.

I would say don’t send your kid here if you value their mental health but I have friends in other schools and they’re no better. Do better Britain. Do better CLV.

CLV review

CLV is an absolutely awful school I do not recommend this school to anyone even if you live close by. Stay AWAY from CLV it will ruin your life and the teachers are horrible. It is an absolute joke of a school.

I don’t like it here - Year 11 Student

There is nowhere for people older than the Junior Learning Village to stand inside at break or lunch if it is raining and the cafes are full. They expect you to sit on benches outside which always have rubbish shoved down the umbrella hole, bird poo all over them and one even has a bench missing on one side. We end up learning things eventually but we don’t learn it in a fun and interesting way so it’s difficult to remember stuff and get the motivation to revise but I suppose that’s most schools. I said that the safety and security are poor because I have seen kids jump the fence that doesn’t even look good but was also designed to keep kids inside the school grounds. They are very strict about letting students use the toilets (you should’ve gone at break, should’ve gone at lunch, go during lesson changeover) but then go whenever they want even with the same break time and lunch time. Just overall a bad school that doesn’t really look that great. It would feel more like a highschool if the colours of the buildings actually matched the colours of the schools emblem but instead they’re a weird green colour.

Junior Learning Village(year 8)

They’re starving us😊😊

This school is awful. I am being starved daily. I come home hungry and with my usual dinners that I’ve had for my whole life that have always filled me aren’t enough anymore. I have to go about 15 hours without food and because of that line I only have less than a packet of monster munch or Doritos.

Why do they starve the year 8s but not the year 7s you may be wondering?? Because there is a group of boys who I will not name in the line shoving everyone into metal barriers and onto the floor. Not letting us get food-because of a group of people being disrespectful who could easily be removed if the outer banister is as well.

The dinner ladies refused my friend food when she had more than enough money and there was more than enough left for a single cup of pasta. The woman said “you can’t have any because you’ve been sharing food on your table.”
1. We had given her a few crisps and a slice of bread
2. How is that any of their business

The only good thing about this school is some of the teachers. Most teachers are nice and it’s the heads and pastoral that are awful.

We have to wait in the food line to even get into the place. So even if I wanted to starve myself I couldn’t even sit down to be comfy while doing so.

This school needs serious help. I have to smile through the pain every day and it gets tiring. I’m 12, almost 13. I should be enjoying myself. Not working about our school doing illegal things to us.

The teachers are nice though 😊😊

Great School

Overall the school is great! The teachers care about the students education and wellbeing and push them to their highest grade.
However the relationship between the students can be very tense and I think that needs looking into by staff.

Constant bullying, my daughter has been bullied for 4 years solid, teachers are just not interested and actually go so far as to laugh when she tries to discuss her problems! Vile school, needs closed down

people say theres not much done on bullying, but the teachers can only do so much, thank you mr horner and mrs blackburn. mental health is managed appropriately such as therapy and confidentiality. control over students isn't so great, but they can't really do much about that. we're teenagers what are they supposed to do.

Do not recommend

Absolutely do not recommend sending your child here. I've gone through 5 years of bullying here and myself and my mam have spoke to staff practically every week about it and they do nothing. The school is awful for bad behaviour also, constantly fights and disruptions and people feeling threatend at school. They do not do anything about mental health, they know about issues with me for years regarding it which would be inappropriate to say on here but I think you get the idea. The school tries to preach positive mental health but does nothing. There has recently been a student in year 8 taken her own life due to bullying which she talked to school about and they still did nothing to change bullying/mental health etc.

Also the building for year 7 and 8 is absolutely freezing, whoever had the idea for a tarp roof is just plain stupid.

Im leaving this school this year and my cousin has just started in year 7 and I'm so happy to get away from it but can't stop worrying about her having to be there.

Its also an open campus so litterally anybody from the public can walk around the school campus, not very safe at all

cold innit

it’s fine i guess but they do very little to help with bullying and are very bad at keeping class bad behaviour on a minimum. Oh and jlv is absolutely freezing all times of year. Whoever thought an open roof was a good idea is a wrongin.
