I am currently at the school, and there have been a few issues due to my place in the school regarding my peers but overall, everything is dealt with quickly, there are very few examples of bullying and the teachers are truly wonderful. There are very few people that I have met that are not enjoying or have not enjoyed their time there.
The reality of the good grades is a tax of students wellbeing. The teachers are not trained in student wellbeing and the senior leadership team are purely focused on students performance. In my year over 60% of students have struggled with their mental health due to the pressure of the school to be constantly perfect. I cannot wait to leave and start the happy stage of my life.
On the face of it a good school with good statistics. However, there is so much pressure and the mental health is appalling. I have had several friends try to commit suicide and the school just pretends to do stuff and doesn't actually care.
None of the teachers here feel like they do it just for the money. They are passionate and enjoyable to be taught by. I often see tv shows where the kid hates school and all the teachers are bitter and I am forced to wonder if that is what other schools are like, because it contrasts so much with my experience. They are always available for support and are dedicated not only to achieving highly (which they do consistently), but also having a good experience.
