This school is good because you get to choose your GCSE in year 9 and start a year earlier than most other schools in the area. There’s a range of GSCE option from performing in drama go writing in History. Most of the staff are nice unless you miss behave but the teacher don’t don’t much about it like punishing the student’s
It’s not the nicest environment to be in, majority of teachers don’t really care about you and they never deal with bullying unless it’s physical and their outdoor area isn’t the best as they expect you to stand outside even if it cold and raining
I mean definitely an average school, not too good, not too bad. There is definitely favouritism, and if you aren’t as bright or loud you will get ignored.
Teachers and learning is excellent. HOWEVER, the school does little about bullying unless it gets physical. My mental health and plenty of my peers mental health was severely knocked due to the school being too lenient and giving zero punishments to the verbal abuse we faced. Students in lower sets were normally disruptive and obnoxious and the teachers normally let their behaviour slide or reward them for being ‘good’ when they settle down which disadvantages those who have been quiet and working hard all the time.
This is the largest secondary school in the south of England and has an amazing curriculum all the way from year 7, to GCSE and A-Level subject choices, through this students are offered a wide range of internal to abroad school trips like New York, the west coast of America, Italy, Portsmouth Harbour, Harry Potter world, The Houses of Parliament and many more.
