Sadly, a change in management has caused many long term staff/teachers and highly academic students to flee this school. My daughter was very upset with a variety of favourite teachers being treated poorly by a toxic management and little care for students and staff in a very difficult atmosphere. My daughter had been there since Year 7 but we made the difficult decision to leave earlier this year. If well-loved and long-term teachers (there for 10+ years) are leaving, there is a good reason why.
Academic standards, sports and culture need improvement
Not enough focus on academic standards.
Small nuturing school which has a good SEN provision and a strong focus on well-being. The school consequenctly attracts many girls with special education needs and in a drive to boost pupil numbers, many girls who have had problems elsewhere. With only 20 girls per year, this mix of girls can lead to problems.
We moved my daughter to a different school due to bullying by a member of staff and have been amazed at how our daughter has flourished with higher educational standards, superior teaching and a strong sports offering.
Cobham Hall needs to be less "woke", bring in better teachers and encourage kinder behaviour throughout.
