DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL! (I can’t stress it enough)
Whatever you do, DO NOT send your kids to this school… none of the staff are willing to listen to the kids my child is struggling in school and they know that, the have made no attempt to listen or help him they just suspend him because he’s “naughty” no he’s not he is just misunderstood and the staff there know this they use it to their advantage to get a reaction out of him, they twist things and make stuff up. My child was also left at reception from 10am to around 12am, 2 hours sat by himself and they did not allow him to get food. My child and the school have made a plan where if he gets a c2 then he goes to hybrid on that day and does 1 period in there then the next day he does 2 periods in reset but not one of the staff members sticks to this rule so then he is put down as truancy when he’s not truanting he just doesn’t know where to go. Coop academy walkden has had a massive toll on my sons mental health they have wanted him out of there since year 8 and they got what they want. The food is raw and is never cooked, there was a child in my sons year who found a fly in her food. This school is honestly the worst for your kids, there has been numerous times my son has come home either crying or scared because he has had threats towards him I reported this back to the school, the school mad an excuse up saying the child that did that is being assessed for adhd which Isnt fair. Mr hacker the head teacher doesn’t like my child he lies about him and he has called my child many names such as, a deluded kid and a liar on the phone to me. My child has also been shoved by a member of staff. DO NOT send your kids to Co-op academy Walkden they do nothing for your kids future and all they care about is the money.

this school is so bad! don’t send ur kids here, they don’t care about the students at all they only care about how they look and what the school looks like. Suspending kids for stupid reasons that’s all they can resolve to when they can’t be bothered to help them anymore. the food is raw and normally cold if you get hot food count yourself lucky! this school is a disgrace the teachers are even worse , only care about the good students and not the ones who want mental and emotional help they say “talk to us” but when u do they just brush it to the side! My sisters kid attends this school and she got told she is gonna get jumped and her throat sliced and they didn’t talk to the other students only coz they have adhd but my neice got in trouble for apparently “starting” the arguement. This school is the worst in Manchester! the teachers can’t even teach heard a review about how a teacher in this school didn’t do the register, let the kids verbally abuse their son! who wants that for their son? especially mr Corbett and mr hacker! Worse teachers known. once had a meeting with the head and he had his feet up on his desk, not very professional! DO NOT SEND UR KIDS HERE!!! Lowry is much better and acc care for the kids! coop Walkden worse school known!

The new strict rules and punishments are getting absolutely preposterous. Keeping kids in a room for 6 hours is absurd! How does that benefit them? If anything it makes them worse! And don’t get me started on the bathrooms, constantly reek of vape and urine. Utterly grotesque slop emporium of a school. The teachers are bone idle and leave the TAs and supply teachers to take their classes but it gives me a chance for me and my friends to have a laugh and mess around. They are cheeky because they think they have the audacity to go on strike every week or two. I don’t know what this worlds coming to!
Disgraceful school, with very few good teachers.
Absolute shocker of a school, they’ll sit back and do nothing about bullying but when it comes to something as small as forgetting a pen they put kids on report. They treat the children with sen needs like criminals, they don’t listen to the kids, they’d rather put the fear of god into them then when the parents get to the bottom of whatever’s happened they cover each other’s backs. The only thing they care about is how the school looks to ofsted. If your child has a care plan they don’t even bother to read it, and if your child has an EHCP it won’t be spent on support for your child neither.

Absolutely appalling; everything about this school is disgraceful, disappointing and depressing. The safeguarding staff and heads of years show a lack of sympathy and concern for the pupils worries, issues and needs yet claim to be all about supporting mental health and clearly they care more about uniform policies than actual education and wellbeing. Additionally, the school lacks a welcoming environment and many students feel anxious, scared, overwhelmed and hostile due to issues staff could easily fix if they actually bothered to deal with it. This school needs a lot of work and definitely a new, more useful headteacher who will actually get issues resolved instead of ignoring them.

Been Dealing with Walkden Academy for a few years regarding our Grandchild. Experience with all staff has been Top Notch. Cannot Fault the School. And more than anything have helped us . They never stop in trying to get grandchild to achieve her best, done with kind words and coaxing. And firmness where required , with upmost respect to grandchild and us. Nothing bug praise for all staff members. Impressed by their devotion to there job. Not a easy job in this day and age. Credit to Walkden Academy and Staff.👏🤝
Amazing people
Teachers are really amazing they understand who you are the students are good some take full pride into looking after you and if your sad or upset they will be there for you we have a student council team who wants to take your voice in and will do whatever you say

I don’t like this school at all I can never speak to a teacher when I need to and also my friends daughter got threatened by a boy who said he will slice her throat and they didn’t exclude all because he has ADHD well that isn’t good enough overall send your kids to a better school
