Been attending for 5 years and it's a decent school. Main complaint is the Headteacher. She shows little compassion towards students and most students feel uncomfortable around her. She puts on an act around visitors but is constantly shouting and berating students when no one is around. I know no students who feel comfortable or safe talking to her. Other staff members are pretty nice and good to talk to though. Has little funding and can't afford lots of resources but education on a whole is decent.
Lucky even getting one star. I’m a student, only in year 8. All the teachers are absolutely horrible. Like I can calll one a dickhead, I get isolation. Fair. But someone makes jokes about slaves being emo ans making fun of suicide and self harm but doesn’t get any punishment. This is such a triggering school when it comes To mental health issues, i sat in a class and someone was cutting themself next to me and I walked out and started balling my eyes out because I was so triggered, and he gets nothing for it? They use favouritism a lot. It’s absolutely awful I wish I went to any other school at this point.
Some teachers are excellent, particularly science department but the head teacher is simply poor, she lacks compassion and it is definitely ‘just a job’, the job should definitely go to the new deputy head, she is fabulous. The school is good but would benefit from sets in option subjects as it drags the more gifted students down. Overall is decent as it is a small school
