Honestly speaking as a former student (finished around mid 2010's) Doubt anyone will see this.
Perhaps all public secondary schools are like this, and it's not an issue, school isn't meant to be an amazing place, it's the fact they tout that they are a school of excellence, but underneath there are many issues.
For starters, many stories from my other female peers, and things I have witnessed first hand, of male teachers being weirdly pervy and flirting with young girls at the school. When kids are trying to learn about life, and probably are dealing with tons of exam stress, mental health and other life stressors, this is the last thing they need! You're supposed to look after, protect, and have your pupil's best interests at heart! OR just teach them, not try and get touchy with them or date them. Many such incidences. They should feel ashamed.
I countless times had been called 'lazy', when in fact I was dealing with poor mental health, and school was an absolute struggle to get through.
Kids bring in drugs, alcohol and have sex at the school. No kidding. This probably still happens now. So don't pretend you're so excellent.
Me and my 2 siblings, and we are all intelligent and kind people, we went here, and it was sort of a degrading experience for us, and actually, I came out anxious, miserable and mentally ill, as well as more dumb.
Sometimes teachers just shout at you for no reason. There were good teachers, no doubt, and teachers are just people too. But the bad ones were just dumb and didn't allow for an ounce of critical thinking, and would just shout at you for no reason? I don't think fear ever helped me to learn.
Bullying is never addressed, and had to be taken into our own hands. It even happened in 6th form of all places... imagine...
The food that is served is sort of overpriced and kinda unhealthy.
It was kind of a hellish time. They don't really encourage socialising between the year either, which is bad. If they had one place for everyone to go at lunch time, perhaps I would have made more friends and overcame my social anxiety, instead of being picked on and degraded for it.
Also they care more about looking good, as they boasted about this one toilet they made for transgenders or whatever, but dont give a sh*t about basic mental health.
Mr cross was a literal paedo who dated a 6th former. Mr Tinker was weird and stood 1 inch from you, and when you tried to move back, he'd keep moving closer towards you. I forgot those other male teachers' names but they should be ashamed of themselves!
Ironically only good things were the activity weeks at the end of the years.
This school is awful. Everything. Teachers, classrooms, courses, food and facilities. But most importantly the staff think they’re so privileged and they are the most condescending, ignorant assholes ive ever met. You’ve got a few nice ones but that’s rare to come across here, if they aren’t nice they can’t teach. They care more about their reputation than bullying and the children.
Absolutely terrible support staff.
My CAMHS worker told me that everyone from Churchill says the same thing. Mrs. Clode is a miserable, cold woman who doesn’t care for any child that isn’t terribly behaved so if you have any sort of mental health problem and you don’t shriek about it you will probably be told to go away because they don’t have room or time for you. They treat you like you’re an inconvenience in ASC for needing student support which surprise Mrs. Clode is actually your job!!!! So I would say that overall Churchill is an okay school until you need any additional support for mental health because they refuse to offer it. The safeguarding being called good in the OFSTED report is honestly outstanding to me as the worst self-harm scars I have on my body are in direct relation to the safeguarding team’s so called ‘support.’
Now every-time I look at my body I deal with the constant reminder of the way in which the school’s support staff failed me when I needed them the most.

I was sexually assaulted and they would prioritise the other students comfort. They also told multiple staff members about my police case, which I did not consent to and those staff members had no right to know. They also told me what happened wasn’t serious and I needed to forgive them. They gave the student zero punishment and actually sent them on a school trip for good behaviour. They kicked me out of classes right before exams meaning I failed one of my GCSEs. The student would deliberately go near me and the school still would not enforce anything. They went back on a legal document to make the other student feel more comfortable. They treated me like I was in isolation when having a panic attack and struggling to breathe. At the end of the year they also boasted about how hardly anybody reports sexual assault there and how it was a good thing. Overall unless you want to be assaulted don’t go their and screw you miss Taylor and screw you miss clode hope you get fired you piece of white trash.
Absolutely the most terrible school I have ever sent my children to I do not recommend this school atal the teachers are rude ignorant cocky when talking to us, and my worst experience ever avoid avoid avoid
Churchill school has bad teachers and has short lunchtimes and break times we should also get more freedom with pe activities which might get student to actually participate
The worst pastoral care I've received. Literally didn't help me at all. Forces students to things they're uncomfortable with and teachers do not trust students at all. Only good thing was the catering but they changed that too
They are so bad here, some are ok but most do not know how to teach especially in your GCSE years 10 and 11 when it matters most. Just to name a few: Mr Tinker, Miss Hoare, Mrs Taylor thinks she's it, Mrs Hayne can't teach Geography, Mr Hayne treats students like they have problems, Miss Morris, Mr Linnit is soo nice but can't teach at all and many more that are either horrible, can't teach or both. Also they don't care about the students health or do not listen to the students who actually struggle with school, working or mental health.
Terrible school, racist and homophobic, wont protect your children, bullying is everywhere but they cover it up to protect their reputation. your children will be traumatised
It’s an alr school but my sister is a safeguarding issue bc sm1 spelt her name wrong and it kind of accelerated from there. The English faculty are very kool people and the history faculty are ok. There’s not much homework which is pretty peng 👌
Eh it’s ok I feel like I can talk to one person the reat of the teachers r kinda shite but there are some nice ones just a side note if u have horrible mental health they won’t do anything about it they will just tell you how bad ur grades are and tell you your wearing too much jewellery but that’s only happened to me once- it’s ok I guess *********** is a g
School cares more about appearances of students than their mental health… I want to k*** myself on a daily basis and I have racist and sexist classmates but too many rings/earrings are an issue according to churchill
I told the student services about my depression and me wanting to kind of die and they said 'well see how it is tomorrow' and then I get a letter about how bad my grades are and I had to see deputy head ect so they're more concerned about my grades than mental health, aswell as this they're terrible with dealing with racism, homophobia and discrimination and care more about how many bracelets or rings and how much makeup I wear and it's really bad so if you wanna send your child here, for there safety and health PLEASE DONT!!
