Terrible school! I’ve had 5 children that went here and the last two I have pulled out to home educate.
No support for children with additional needs or Sen.
Ehcp money spent on other things than its intended for and then they try and cover it up.
The head teacher never takes any responsibility for his staff when they are in the wrong and true to cover things up.
Constant suspensions and daily calls saying my child needed to come home.
When I’ve made complaints they are brushed under the carpet and completely ignored.
Children are out in LTS for ridiculous reasons sometimes for weeks on end even if they have already had a punishment like being suspended.
My children have told me things that teachers have said and when you go in for a meeting they coercive your child and intimidate them to make them feel like they can’t speak the truth.
If you make complaints and start calling them out on their failings as a school they will start to blame you as a parent and even make mash referrals to social services to try and cover their backs.
They don’t mark down absences when they send your child home then try and fine you for unauthorised absences even though they were the ones who decided to send your child home!
This couldn’t have been a worse school for my children I strongly advise you avoid it if your child has Sen needs do just go by the ofsted report which is absolutely not true!
Chipping.norton school is one of the worst schools i have ever known they don't support or help SEN children they would rather suspend the child then help or support the child they don't take and accountability of their lack of respect towards children or how they make the children feel scared and intimidated by teachers and TA's, the school will suspend a child if they are not learning or if the child can't do the work to the schools standards, the teachers will lie so that the child will get removed from the class or even the school for a number of days rather then address the issue that the reason the child is acting up in class or is refusing to listen is because the school have suspended the child so many times that the child is half a year behind everyone else and is scared to speak up as they get suspended again for speaking in class or asking for help, it's such a joke in that school that if your child is struggling the school will find anything to suspend the child so they don't have to admit that they have failed the child and the child's education. Children that struggle to keep up or follow the lessons will get suspended for silly things like asking to go to the toilet or wearing hoop earrings or having a nose piercing when physical appearance has and never will affect education, they then rather then see they have failed the child they will accuse the parents and say there is issues at home as the school is like dealing with a narcissist they will never admit they are in the wrong and while they are continuing to suspend your child the child's education is getting forgotten about and they do nothing to help the child catch up with their fellow class mates which in turn affects the child's confidence and mental health so if u want your child to suffer mental abuse and bullying from teachers then this is the school for u but if u want your child to do well and get an education then look else where as chipping norton school will destroy any hopes and dreams your child would ever have
Avoid avoid avoid
They have pedophile's working there
They don't sort bullying out
The teachers try telling you what to do with your kid/kids
The head thinks he is always right
They say they will sort things out they never do
Please avoid avoid avoid avoid
No communication, ignored emails etc
Priorities are all wrong.
Too much emphasis on school uniform to the point of being ridiculously picky but bad behaviour ignored.
Far too much emphasis on sexual/gender labels and certain children getting preferential treatment purely based on their sexuality etc
My child is fed up with hearing about it now.
Stop dividing your pupils into categories and treat them all the same. Your rules should apply to everyone regardless!!
KEEP AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL
They leave my daughter in the hallway on her own with people walking past having a panic attack. When my son gets bullied the school do nothing about it but when he stands of for himself they put my son in Lts. Also they told my daughter when she was having a panic attack to stop being stupid if she doesn't get into lesson or stop having a panic attack she will get Lts. Punishing someone with mental health issues don't help the problem. The head teacher thinks he is always right like the teachers do there never wrong.they try and be the parent to your kid and try telling the parents what to do. It is a vile nasty horrible school. If your child is different the teacher will always start on them. They treat the kids like they are in prison not school. if I knew this school was like this I would never of sent my kids there. They tell you what you want to hear and do nothing about anything. I don't trust the school at all.
My eldest child attended with her GCSE year being in 2020 and I would have removed her and changed school in year 8 if she had not insisted on staying.
Terrible communication -child has SEN and heard from the SEN lead once in year 7 and then never again despite countless emails and calls. Inadequate teaching, inaccurate school reports (we once attended parents evening where the English teacher had no knowledge of child's SEN and another when I was given the report of another pupil entirely and had to correct the teacher). I have sent my younger child to another school which is world's apart from the shambles that is Chipping Norton -the difference is incredible.
Pretty sexist, boys and girls have to play different sports (like literal different sports, not even just separating the two sexes), girls are criticised on every little thing wrong with their uniform while boys get away with the lot, etc. Foods good sometimes, awful others, like soggy pasta when stuff 🤮
