Cheshire College - South & West

I recently completed a part-time adult catering course at South Cheshire College, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! This was my second course here, and once again, the experience was fantastic.

A special thank you to Matt Parkes, one of the teaching chefs, whose expertise and passion for food made the learning process both enjoyable and incredibly valuable.
His guidance, tips, and hands-on demonstrations helped me understand the best techniques for a variety of dishes.
The training kitchen is outstanding, and the procedures and skills taught are second to none.

The college offers a fantastic selection of courses, including Pies & Puds, Cooking on a Budget, Patisserie & Baking, Breads of the World, and Barista skills.
Whether you’re looking to update your skills, retrain, or simply meet new people who share a love of food, this is the perfect place to do it.

The only downside was that I had to find this course myself on the website. It would be great if the college promoted these fantastic courses more, either through social media or by notifying past students, as I’m sure many people would love to take part but simply don’t know about them!

All in all, I can’t wait to return for another course. If you’re considering taking a catering class as an adult learner, I highly recommend South Cheshire College!

I have had more than one child at this collage and they always suffer with teachers being off and teachers not versed in the subject filling in this happened all the time to my daughter who had to take A level law with half the year not taught.
Sadly this happened to my son also in his subjects no teacher at all in class for weeks.
They happily take the government money and don’t provide the service, go elsewhere if you want decent education.

Let me tell you something, this college today showed me how much RACSIT they are! I am not happy to say that but the way they treated us was so bad because we didn’t have English passport and to people who were English, they smiled a lot and treat them very well! To be honest with you I feel so sorry to write this!

Only been attending the college for almost a year and all i can say is how kind and caring the staff are. they are so helpful with anything that you are going through for example if you missed quite a lot of work they will let you take the time to catch up in the library or they would understand if you were injured and struggled getting up or down the stairs. Another thing is how much the staff help you to get the very best further education you could possibly get.

Amazing College, all staff are nice and friendly.
