Not a good school

Warning!!!!!! I advise to please send your children to a different school. During my time at Chenderit I was relentlessly bullied by other students and staff. One science teacher screamed at me so badly for me skipping her lesson due to bullying I actually thought she was going to hit me. They did nothing to support my mental health and I felt totally let down. I was made to feel like I was the problem and I left without any gcse's. As a result I now suffer with severe social anxiety so if you care about your child's mental health please do not send them here.

Terrible school don't go

Chenderit is a horrible school teachers act like they care but deep down they couldnt even care , in lessons they have no respect and most teachers don't understand conditions like autism , ADHD and more , say they care about metal health but it makes it worse if any parents think about sending there child there i recommend try to send them to a different/ better school.

The teachers here cannot deal with bullying in fact sometimes bully the students and it's so obvious that the teachers hate working there I have been told in a class by the teacher that they hate working there on multiple occasions and it is a horrible place to be.

Very good school

Very happy with this school. My children attend and so far both have been happy and looked after. Some teachers are excellent and engaging and some are dull but this is the same in any school. Definitely feel my children are cared for and stretched to learn as much as possible. There are some disruptive children but after discussing an issue with teachers it was dealt with immediately. Overall my impression is that student behaviour is pretty good, there are always going to be some naughty kids in every school. Art department is fantastic. Uniform is scruffy and needs to be smarter. Ofsted overall 'Good' and Sixth form 'Outstanding'.

Go somewhere else, anywhere else

Avoid at all costs

Bullying is rampant and not addressed. Senior leadership are interested in their own career progression rather than the pupils and their mental wellness, therefore the education and the morale of the school suffers hugely as a result. Discipline largely focussed on uniform adherence not actual behaviour. Vast majority of parents are unhappy but feedback is dismissed by disinterested leadership team
Having just finished her GCSEs we could not be more pleased to be pulling our child out of this school to go on to further her education elsewhere. Thankfully we do have a choice for a bright student wanting to study A levels, and that choice never included this school having spent years 7-11 there. Absolutely dreadful.

this aint it

mouldy ceilings, rubbish overpriced food(how is a butter samwich like £1.20), fights all the time. it isnt the worst, but nowhere near the beat in the area. Me and the mandem cant even buff a zoot, even when the sun goes down.

Good school

Better than the reputation it gets, certainly better than lots of schools in the area. Some seriously committed teachers, good variety of subject options at GCSE and excellent pastoral system. Consistently gets good Ofsted reports and absolutely deserves it. Especially worth the Sixth Form with excellent Sixth Form leaders.

Avoid

Avoid rubbish school I was there from yr 7-11. Only time I enjoyed was seeing my friends. They are only bother with you if your really clever or cause trouble, if you just sail along quietly they don’t care and you’ll receive no support, there’s the odd good teacher that will try to help but they can’t do everything. Was often left with no teachers when I needed support the most in yr 11 due to high staff turnover. Was forced into gcses I didn’t want to do and was told I would pass in certain coursework subjects however I didn’t and that was down to the teacher who marked my own gcse piece. Will just say anything to make there results and there staff look good.

It’s alright

I personally really enjoy school but the foods a bit grim and the building is in dire need of new ceilings. However most of the teachers are amazing and learning is a lot of fun there!
