Open day for year 6’s and parents and. Ofstead have recently been to my children’s (this week)
It’s a ashame to say that they made my daughter jump on a trampoline for 3 hours straight to impress the parents. My daughter came home past 8pm unable to even walk. Her whole body was aching. And they don’t even have a trampoline club
On the ofsted day, children had certain sentences they had to recite (which was announced in a Random assembly) in order to sound good for the school.
If any child had anything negative to say, they will be in trouble. Basically the school has no freedom of speech.
It’s sad to say that parents and children going into this school are catfished because the school is nothing if how they presented it.
Children get detentions handed out for minor reasons, like not being able to achieve the work given. And not walking in the correct side if the stairs or corridors. I have witnessed many parents come to the school shouting trying to understand why their children keep getting detentions. Mainly black families. They are making the children become professional liars because of their strictness.
Obviously there will always be certain children who are not well behaved intentionally and unintentionally, and they should be dealt with accordingly and not how the previous child was dealt with. Every child is an individual and should be treated differently.
The children do not personally know their headteacher and she knows nothing of them. And the vice principal is teaching students of which she taught their parents so she is so old and impatient with most children because of both reasons. I’m 33, I know her very well because she taught my friends back then, and she is a terrible person and teacher.
I really regret sending my children there and would NEVER recommend any child to go there. It’s literally a prison
Overpriced food. The building is small and cramped, and is unable to comfortably accommodate to its large number of students. Trying to get to and from lessons is incredibly difficult. The majority of students are nice, but generally they lack basic manners. The younger years are as you'd expect them to be considering the frequent and inappropriate use of discipline at this school; they are brash, loud, and disrespectful.
However, the school is clean and well-lit to combat its cramped build. It has more furniture for students than most schools, and the school is doing its best to make sure theres minimal traffic between lessons. There are also multiple toilets that are quite clean in comparison to other schools.
Overall, It’s a poor school. You would have high expectations for a school in Chelsea but this one is really bad. Year 7 and 8 may be something nice as it’s new and there is not too much stress but from year 9 they shove everything at you and you will be overwhelmed. The pain you will feel from Year 9-13 is different in this school, teachers in this school want you to fail.
very bad. decent grades but the students are all over worked and burned out. the SEND department is decent but it can be hard to access. very stricked at times and not very accommodating. I had anxiety and used anxiety reducing gum because I was recommended it by camhs and I got an hour detention for it. the teachers are lazy and the students are really mean. seems nice when u visit but it's awful once ur actually there. it is super sexist, unsafe, discriminatory, abelist, homophobic, and transphobic. and the teachers haven't even tried to stop it. most of the lessons were spent waiting for the teacher to be happy about the noise level. no class was ever quiet so the teacher either ignored it and left us to it or stopped continuously to tell us to be quiet.
I ended up moving school due to my mental health and I really don't recommend. j was a music scholar and was forced to do music theory, lessons, music GCSE, choir and many other things. it was so anoying and I hated it.
only good things were the odd nice teacher, the SEND department if you can actually access it, and the yearly trips (because we would get some moments of sanity)
hello, i am a pupil at this school and very upset about it. i am called slurs daily and was once jumped because of the fact i am transgender. its not on
