the education at this school is very good, and extra support is given if needed. the staff/teachers are very nice, some are quite strict and it can scare the younger pupils, but it is understandable for a secondary school. the schools pe department is great, with many sports clubs to choose from, plus the dance department. the school environment is good, a big field to use for pe and break/lunch in the summer months. the school building is easy to get around, one way systems have been put in place due to covid, however it is still useful now to stop chaos in the hallways. the way it is laid out is easy to get around, i knew where everything was within the first week. as it is a smaller school, i know pretty much every student in my year, and quite alot from older years. another great thing about the school is that it provides help for your mental health, however there is a very long waiting list, but pastoral is always open. one of my only conerns would be the award system. students are given achievement points for raising there hand a lot in class and being 'engaged' in the lesson, but the quieter children dont get as much recognition for their work, which i think is unfair. another issue would be the canteen, as the prices are very high for the food, and there is not many vegan options available.
