I was served at a branch of McDonald's by a 'Customer Experience Leader' as shown on their badge. Sadly they led my customer experience the wrong way - no please or thank-you, and they plonked my cup down without a word.
Some McD's staff are perfectly polite. They'd set that 'Customer Experience Leader' a good example. It shouldn't be necessary though for someone with that title.
there is nothing wrong with this school other than the fact that its slightly underfunded. please stop crying about your dumb sexual orientation to the guidance teachers they don't have time for all your nonsense
there is nothing wrong with this school other than the fact that its slightly underfunded. please stop crying about your dumb sex*al orientation to the guidance teachers they don't have time for all your nonsense
Based school, a bit underfunded but it isn't the school's fault itself.
also, the other kids complaining about "bigotry" and "transphobia" are just mad because the guidance teachers said the world doesn't revolve around them and them bringing up their gender identity and sexual orientation all the time is not appropriate for school.
the school has so many problems, like the fact, the hallways are so thin and narrow that going class to class you will get pushed, pulled, hit, etc. it led to me personally feeling unsafe going class to class. i've had serious injuries because of how unsafe the hallways are, the school gave the culprit 2 days of no lunch, for my 2 weeks of recovery?
another issue is the ceiling tiles are literally falling off and hanging off the ceiling, and it's not just one, it's multiple. and it's scary thinking they could hit you.
during winter is a tough time to be in charleston, there is no way to sit inside because the cafeteria is for school meals only and could barely fit 50 people in it, you have to sit outside on the filthy never cleaned, covered in bird poo, benches, in the freezing cold.
the teachers are also not great influences, one of them has told my class that animal testing is ok and that he supports it, and another has said that he's better then everyone in my class because he has a degree and he's an adult
the school also deals with bullying horribly, i've been dealing with harassment for all the years i've been here on and off by different people, nothing happens, and nothing ever happens. there's no point going to guidance on it because nothing ever changes.
oh and mentioning guidance, there's no point going to them anyways, they suck at doing their job. you're stressed about school work? the world doesn't revolve around you
overall this school is awful, i could go on, don't send your kids here.
this school is awful. there's a lot of problems, like how poorly designed the school buliding is. firstly the hallways are so narrow going class to class you will be squished, especially since there's a ton of immature kids who try and push each other into the classrooms and to the floor for fun. this has led to me feeling very unsafe switching classes and i've gotten seriously injured by being hit, pushed, pulled, etc in the hallways, the school has done nothing about it
secondly, the ceilings are literally falling apart, it's just a matter of time until it all caves in and someone gets hurt.
some of the teachers are really not good influences, one of them has openly told my class that he supports animal testing. another has been openly racist, another has said that he's better than all his students because of him being older.
a lot of the kids here aren't receiving the support they need due to the rubbish guidance team that really just don't do much. one of them has told my friend "the world doesn't revolve around you" when she told them she was feeling overwhelmed with the amount of schoolwork. the amount of kids needing support has made fights and such increasingly common here.
either way, any other school in inverness is 10000% times better than this. don't send your kids here
the schools awful. the building is falling apart with tiles falling off the ceilings and such. most the teachers are awful and they dont care about you unless you're a smart kid, they dont deal with kids with disabilities well and the guidance is horrible.
the building has multiple issues, the largest being how tiny the hallways are. going class to class makes me feel so unsafe as ive been punched, hit, pushed etc from just walking and minding my own business. ive had serious injuries from this and the school done nothing. an easy way to fix this is to stagger times where everyone leaves class or actually care about what is happening outside the classrooms.
a lot of the teachers in the school is awful, some of them have incredibly bad political views that they tell the children about (e.g supporting animal testing) and also dont care about students unless they're smart. ive heard teachers tell people they only care about correcting their behaviour because they're smart.
the school also doesnt handle bullying right AT ALL!! ive dealt with bullying all the years ive been in here, by different people nonetheless. nothing happened to sort this and infact its still ongoing.
the school clearly isnt funded well either
but- if you're thinking of sending your child here- don't. im sure any other high school in inverness will be better then this
Terrible. cant deal with disabled kids at all, if your not the quiet , anxious and polite type you'll get very little support. They are not at all prepared to help kids with higher needs and threaten to send them to a mental hospital. And kids who are not as well behaved yet still struggle in classes just kept swept to the side and are often treated as if they are just avoiding the work rather than them having genuine struggles with it. it doesnt help that half the PSAs are completely clueless on even the basic subjects like Maths or English so cant be of help at all.
They dont deal with bigotry well either, once i told a teacher that i felt unsafe in a class because some of the boys where being transphobic and homophobic, and instead of moving me to a different seat or simply telling the boys to stop talking about that stuff, i was sent to a different class room in which i didn't ever get given my work and the computer i was given to work on was broken and was never fixed. The school could at the very least not pretend to be an ally while also allowing that to happen, wouldnt be such a punch in the face.
Ive also been misgendered by teachers and have heard the same from my friends, some of which doing it maliciously.
Apparently there was also multiple allegations made against a pupil that a teacher ignored because there 'wasn't enough proof', though this could be school rumours.
While there are some good teachers, they are few and far between. A few of the teachers are racist too, yet mask their racism as jokes, which even if they where jokes, are not appropriate for a bunch of teenagers who dont have full emotional intelligence yet.
Not to mention how little control the teachers have on the students, kids will walk around halls with masks down or off, arguably the time its most important we have masks on considering how small the halls are. plus the at this point weekly fire alarms that are set off by students, only seeming to be increased after assemblies where held in hopes to discourage the behaviour.
i do not think it helps that the school probably gets so little funding, its falling apart and nothing seems to be done about that.
Eh the school isnt the best. The teachers are fine but guidance are terrible, the amount of times they do nothing, and when they DO something they take sides with students they prefer way without hearing everyones story. More detail on the teachers, most are fine, with a few being quite good, however theres a few that dont actually teach nor explain the lesson, which isnt very helpful when we are trying to get good grades for those classes.
Also, The roof in many places is falling apart..? Ive been in this school for 3 years now and the roofs are still broken with pipes and cables showing, Id understand if they didnt have the funds, but a few months ago they spent money buying new benches and a shed. Fix. The. Ceiling. The food is okay, theyve started making portions smaller but i believe thats to do with the highland council. They dont deal with bullying too well either, nor have they done anything about the kids that do dr*gs.
