This school has really deteriorated!
My two older children were fine at this school, but fast forward a few years things have really gone down hill. My youngest child started this school top of the class, happy and confident. But after a couple of years at this school and being bullied is now suffering from anxiety and depression. Any mention of mental health problems is like a red flag to a bull when you try and explain any absences and they will most likely not be authorised. This school does not seem a kind place at all and they seem more worried about exam results and attendance rather than the happiness and wellbeing of pupils. There are a couple of nice, good teachers but they are in the minority. Also my child says there is a lot of vaping at this school and often you can smell cannabis in certain areas. If your child is easily led and wants to remain popular they could easily be drawn into this. Vapes are readily available to younger pupils from older pupils and school does not seem to be addressing this effectively.
New uniform
The new school skirt is uncomfortable and a unnecessary change whatsoever; instead of changing they could've easily made skirt length stricter and the blue doesn't even match the rest of the uniform. I used to wear a skirt but when school starts once again in September I will have to wear trousers (for the first time) instead just because I feel uncomfortable wearing the new skirt. I tried the trousers and they don't match to what I normally wore to school, I feel insecure about wearing it to school and would rather not go to school in September but my parents had already brought it and I wish to get a education I have to go in.
I just simply hope they return back to the old skirts and don't change it. I would feel better and more confident wearing it again.

Stupid uniform
I’m writing to you today about the price of the new uniform you’ve issued it’s utterly unacceptable I’ve used the school website and added up how much it’ll be for 1 girl/boy for a school uniform it’s unbelievable and I have the prices for you here too:
boys uniform for one person
2 pairs of pants + 2 shirts= £58.96
Blazer= £36.99
Jumper= £17.99
Socks= £6.99
This alone costs £120.93
PE kit
Socks= £7.00
Pants= £22.99
Hoodie= £26.50
Shorts= £14.50
Shirt= £16.99
Gym bag= £7.99
And All together with the PE kit and uniform it costs £216.9 which is absolutely insane for ONE child

And also what will you do with the second hand uniform and and the buss fair and post money to go get the new skirt and also the dinner money and the dinner line and how are when you get in late from dinner you get in trouble for being late to class and the price for ties, lockers,locker keys, and shoes if you add all that up together it will cost about 500 all together and I’m not just talking about my self because I can afford it but with the other parents who can’t afford it and it’s absolutely ridiculous I am NOT paying that for my kids!

this school is awful
this school is awful they don't cook the food properly they pick on kids and they are so disorganized and the teachers aren't trained properly and the indoor environment isn't clean the air is really cloggy like not being cleaned

Worst days of my life.
Would give 0 stars if I could; I was relentlessly bullied in this school and so were many others.
I was threatened in class with open scissors to my eyes and nothing came of it. My friend had rocks thrown at her and was knocked out with a pipe.
The teachers were also bullies, willfully ignoring the bullying, forcing me to go to weekly weigh-in's, forcing me to stay after school to do gym work, trying to diagnose me with a learning disability I don't have, and following me around at dinner time, writing down what I ate, and telling my parents at bi weekly meetings.
All this has given me serious self esteem issues and an eating disorder I still struggle with in adulthood.

Useless headteacher, very poor school
Horrible school, teachers are abusive to students. Headteacher doesn't investigate them, and tries to block your complaints going to the governors .Staff constantly lie. They don't follow ehc plans either. Dont send a child with additional needs here, their needs won't be met.

I was always the kid getting left out of school trips and going to prom and stuff the school didn’t let me go prom coz my mental health like comon I been waiting for this my whole life and the reason for my mental health was the school they don’t help with anything they say one thing to ur parent and do the complete opposite so yeah wouldn’t recommend taking your kids to this school unless you want them to feel unwelcomed and shit about your life and bullies!! Anti bullying day is pointless at this school because the teachers are bully’s themselves

its sexist they do not care about the students they misunderstand everything and don't care. one of the cooking teachers took ingredients out of my bag for another child and it was infuriating don't send your children here even tommy's is better than this.

This school is garbage.
It was an alright school till Mrs Hill left. The new headteacher used all the money she had saved on bins and painting the halls instead of fixing the roof so mould was all over maths block,we had years 7,8,9,10 and 11 sharing one dining hall cause he closed the other one and after my year left my brother told me he closed the sixth form cafeteria as well so they had to use the same dining room as the rest. And some if the teachers there ain't good, while i was doing my GCSE'S my maths teacher talked about games and rugby, he turned up at the same or even later than the students and before the last last we was meant to do a before exam revision session and he didn't turn up until 10 minutes before the exam and I ended up having a panic attack right before the exam.
