I am appalled at the lack of communication and help that my grandson received from this school, my grandson is being bullied after complaining they sat the culprit behind my grandson in a class, they have also given my daughter the wrong e.mail for the school governors three times. She has complained many times and had no response. Instead of dealing with the bully or expelling him my grandson is being forced to leave the school.
It has affected him badly. There should be zero tolerance for bullying. My grandson loves football but can’t play at lunchtime due to the bully in the team. The lack of respect for the teachers by pupils is very bad and teachers don’t seem to have any control. Teachers are not mean’t to leave the class which is also when bullying occurs but they do. Pastoral is mean’t to be a safe haven for pupils but he was only allowed to spend 10 mins there then told to go back to his class. Pupils should feel safe at school but not the case here.
Terrible school. The turnover of teachers is relentless. My youngest son is currently being bullied and the school has an ‘it’s no big deal’ attitude. Speaking with others there is a serious bullying problem at this school. My eldest son says some of his teachers have even outright said to the kids ‘we are leaving because of the state of the school’ we had high hopes for this school, but it’s been such a terrible experience
From my experience, this is the worse school in Bushey.
The attitude towards students is awful. Unprofessional and helpless. In 2023/24 GCSE students hardly saw a Maths teacher. One of the Maths teacher was giving a blessing to his class half of the lesson instead of teaching. Most of the time students had a cover teacher, who has no relation to Maths.
Teachers can’t manage student’s behaviour. The head teacher is never involved.
Never ever even consider this school
Absolutely terrible school! My child was beaten up twice within a year at that school. They endured bullying the entire time of year 7 & 8 but school decided it wasn’t bullying because it wasn’t the same pupils! The school lied repeatedly to our faces regarding SENCO matters. The principal does not engage at all with neither students or parents and will refuse to meet with parents, he is also principal to multiple schools in London and Hertfordshire.
I'm not saying this just because I don't like school, but generally i would not recommend this place to anyone, the staff just do not care about you, anyone could tell and not to mention the poor hygiene.
I was severely bullied at this school and the staff members didn’t seem to care, no matter how many reports I made or statements I wrote. When someone finally seemed to care, the people who bullied me didn’t get punished as I had wished, instead they just got ‘spoken to about it’ and then a 1 hour detention after school. I still felt unsafe at the school because the people who bullied me continued to laugh at me and make me feel horrible about myself, I eventually had to stop going to school and stay at home because nothing was being done
the school is the reason my mental heath is at its lowest the school dosent care about the students feeling its all about learning useless thing insted of life skills
They do not have experience staff in pastoral office who can dealt with year 7 students! Their judgment on the incidents in school base on the story of one child rather both! and not fairly done.
Some issues with teaching staff shortage, but generally nothing to complain about. Quite a few nice teachers, good d and t department, and also English and maths.
im a student at this school-they generally dont care about us. most teachers are only there to feel like they have contributed in society however they only lead sad little lives controling children for income.
Fantastic school, Lovely Teachers, well-behaved students I would 100% reccomend. Best school in Bushey by far if not then best school in Hertfordshire!
